Totaly recommend for fans of the genre and for seekers of cute stuff, but if you can't handle cringe exagerations from a grown man towards a not-so-small child, then it would be better to stay away.
Also, this is basically finished as it is, as a second season would never be approved going past the 3° volume of the light novel, so enjoy up to the end but don't really wait for more.
As a side note, if you hit the end and get yourself wishing for more, take care going for the LN since it kinda shifts the focus of the story there; You have been warned.

Highly recommended if you are into cute, sweet and fluffy things and feelings, this is definitely a feel good anime, even if the MC's reactions are way over the top to the point of cringe, if you are looking for anything more you should probably look elsewhere.
They focused on cuteness so much that there is not much room left for a story, this all felt like a long intro. Season 2 could do wonders for it, if it's ever made and if it gets a little more serious.
I for one am glad i watched it. 7/10

I understand that the main idea is to show the sweetness of the relationship between the main characters. I understand that parents can be very attached to their children. I understand that this anime is done in order to amuse the viewer with the hero’s affections. But the way it is shown is awful. "Pink snot"s... are... not... cute.
...However, in everything else, except for these moments, this is a very pleasant and interesting anime on the unusual "main theme" of such genre. Therefore, if you are not afraid of such moments, you can try to watch it.

Cute and funny - even if it's also quite cheesy.
This series is more of a relaxing watch since there is no real essence to all of it. There is no real action, conflict, emotion or anything else which might be considered "heavy". It's just pleasant from beginning to end with its beatiful character design and the nice animation. All characters are likeable even if few of them are quite annoying at times.
I wouldn't mind a continuation of it since it was relaxing and even heartwarming to watch.

Pretty nice and charming series. even though its setted in a RPG Fantasy World, its focused on social relations and development. Easygoing and nice watch.

A nice heartwarming watch. Set in you sterotypical JRPG-like world, this story about parenting featured nice protagonists, colourful settings, remarkable and tender voice acting from Takao Kanon and a peaceful pace and vibe. Pretty much a break from the normal adventure anime lines of OP protagonists, harems, Demon Lords and the like.
However, I was kinda put off by its lack of action and substance. The premise of Latina "having the mark of a criminal" failed to materialize. There is an underlying theme of racial tension which was generally neglected, and which would have been interesting to explore. Sure, there is one early episode dedicated to this, but other than that, the plot remains shallow.
With the right plot twists and action sequences, this could have been something truly special, but instead it is just a very peaceful series set in an adventure world. Not bad, but recommended only for those looking for a tender and heartwarming break.
