Reminds me a bit of Hataraku Saibou in content (but not in quality tho)

Was mostly what I expected it to be. Storyless kind of show. Putting a twist into something normal. Not aiming particularly high. But no complaints on the technical side of things either so that's a plus, except maybe I didn't get to hear enough Hara Yumi.

Somewhat educational. Pace is... good enough I guess.
It's about people who design animals for god. Yes, spoilers. But they tell you that in the first 10 seconds.

Would it be good enough to tell others to watch? Maybe just to show others for the lolz. At least it's not a mass-produced isekai/fantasy/superhero/battle anime. So to me this was average. Not great, not terrible. And at least somewhat unique.

The premise of the Earth being formed and God creating life, but getting overwhelmed and outsourcing that to a "Animal Design Department" seemed interesting and at first it was... it was funny and educational as the show gives your info on a lot of the animals being created by this department. However, after a few episodes this gets repetitive and feels long... this show could've benefited from being half-episodes. In the end, these is some educational info on animals, but felt very long for a 12 episode show.

Interesting, Original, QualityW/A/S - 1/1/3"What if the design and field testing of the animal kingdom was outsourced? Let's find out together" The Animation.Good:


  • * Animation - Uses an interesting texture block technique so that outfits, hair colours and so on with large surface areas have something close to either craft paper or marbled texture, but not so much as to be jarring. I hope we see more of this technique in the future. Otherwise character and creatures are rendered competently and often with detail and flourishes that they didn't have to do.*  Concept/Story - The plot is essentially Commercial Engineering but fantastical and with real life applications. I can't speak to how accurate it is, but I legitimately learned a few fun bits of animal trivia.
Mediocre:

  • * Sound - OP/ED were actually bad, general sound track selections are not inspired, VA selection was competent but lacklustre, SFX etc were there but not memorable.* Character - Again, lacklustre. Characters are there and do things, but they're the same in ep 13 as ep 1. Character development isn't exactly the point; they're used to play off set pieces, but they're perfectly adequate for the task.
This was pleasant, fun and interesting, and i'll never watch it again.
