A good anime in many aspects. A lot of people consider the MC annoying (and very tsundere) and while I agree, I understand his reluctance in accepting basically a horror deity as a love interest. While that horror aspect is not explored, the anime with the second season do have some character development, and it is a shame it didn't continue further. Some comedy might be hard to understand, but it works.
As a very aggressive "sudden girlfriend" anime it works well. If that is not your cup of tea, then you don't need to watch this.

Quoting tootbrush, Oretwi "is like a Nyaruko-san spiritual successor I didn't know I wanted." It's easy to see that Oretwi draws heavy inspiration from the kind of humor in Nyaruko-san, and there are countless themes and elements in common as well. If you like one, the odds you'll like the other are very strong.

A typical harem ecchi romcom with a great lead actress and a truly annoying male lead.
The Biggest problem I had with this was that I couldn't understand most of the comedy as it was based on some esoteric Cthulhu mythos. And because the anime itself was not endearing, I didn't even feel like on reading up on that.
An easily forgettable kind of anime and there are too many better ones out there.

This anime is very funny. That's it. No plot whatsoever. Part of the reason I like it so much. Purely for laughs.

Refreshingly entertaining comedy with a harem-esque quality, somewhat more cerebral ecchi instead of visual, tons of parodies and name bombs, simple but clever writing; and best of all, Asumi Kana's voicing of Nyaruko is wickedly addictive. One of the few obnoxiously energetic characters that I just can't help but like. As a parody, this show takes what are typical template scenarios, largely reflecting To Love-Ru (and others), but twists the plot in just enough zany ways that it's both refreshing and funny. This show isn't revolutionary, but it's still fun. If you liked Musaigen no Phantom World, you'll probably like this one.

This anime is very pretty, funny and ejoyable, full of citations (non only about Lovecraft) but also about others anime (there are a citation about Da Capo, about Clannad, even about Amagami SS) sentai series, videogames (space invader for all)

Heartwarming, Crazy and adorable. Those are the first 3 words that come into my mind as i think back of this anime. The characters especially Nyaruko were adorable and funny! The art style was good , music quite befitting and the plot was enjoyable (although not really centered) There were some episodes that really felt ... like a drag and the romance, although very cute, was sometimes out of place. All in all this was an average watch but it would certainly be a good time-killer during lunch or dinner.Recommended!
