Scattered thoughts:
An accurate sentence I said out loud while watching: "Come on dude, don't let them tentacle rape your fake girlfriend."
Plot and pacing are all over the place, although this is more or less faithful to the source material.
Main antagonist is massively annoying and flat as a piece of paper and all the relationship drama in the show is just bullshit.
Not a single plot thread is resolved, nothing but cliffhangers, although the twist at the end would have potential, if there were a sequel.
Not too well animated or drawn, not especially bad, non-offensive, literally just "an anime".

Initially this series was very interesting with magicians and wars, even the middle of the series was still entertaining; however, towards the end it started getting stale until it got to the wtf cliffhanger. So about 2/3 of this series is decent and watchable, the last few episodes are kinda boring. I really hope there is an OVA, movie or 2nd season b/c if there isn't, the way this series ended will be frustrating.

Was sort of a roller coaster, started out decent but around halfway through, it got pretty dull until the very episode which ended on a cliffhanger which has so many possibilities. Hopefully there's a season 2 in order to see if it lives up to expectations :D

Starts well. the lead Guy looks to be in a relationship, has some measure of personality, motivation and willpower to make his acceptance of a magical life interesting.
After the first episode, the entire pacing of the series accelerates to the point that it feels like a broken up summary of a much longer series, it throws everything it had going character wise out of the window and resets itself as a confusing sub par mashup of X (the classic movie/series) and any other magical school anime ever (psychic academy, my hime, etc. Akkad if which are more cohesive)
We end up with an "indecisive/dense male lead" and the girls become "reckless, too young, instant crush" and "emotionally weak, blonde, fan service" to top it off we get arbitrary time skips, wtf plot decisions and a maniac antagonist.
All in all a series built on wasted potential that clears through 2-3 standard anime story lines in a mere 12 episodes.

Not a bad show but overall it feels like it was rushed and not given the time it required to develop properly. A second season might solve that problem though, so watch this space :P

I can't say I have enjoyed it till like 8th ep. It was kind of 'neuter'. But it gained my attention latter. This one has potential, but it's hard to use it. And the main character is so similar to lelouch in the appearance... In conclusion it was more like a decent watch then something great.

Average but decent, quite enjoyable but with very few sparks.
Recommended only if you like this type of anime (Action + Fantasy + hint of Romance) and have no better option.
Just hope there will be a continuation...
