Person: Haward Killy

Haward Killy is a pseudonym of Kawai Takumi (河井拓実) - a Japanese keyboardist, singer, composer, arranger and record producer.

Kawai Takumi was born in Aichi Prefecture and started performing live when he was in high school. He made his professional debut in 1982 after moving from Nagoya to Tokyo. In the course of 1982 and 1983, he released two singles and two albums under the Nippon Columbia imprint. He also began working for Rey's In (レイズイン), a music production company founded and represented by producer Nagato Shuusuke. He has collaborated with many artists and often used the pseudonym Haward Killy when composing and arranging music for them.

In the later years, he became interested in Latin American music. In 2005 he began performing solo under the name Takumi.
