Sugino Akio was born September 19, 1944 in Sapporo, Hokkaido Prefecture, Japan. He is an animator and character designer. Sugino was in Mushi Production until 1972, when he joined Madhouse. Sugino left Madhouse in 1980 to form Studio Annapuru.
