First of all:
For a better understanding of the events taken place in this series, I highly recommend watching the 3 R.O.D. OVAs beforehand!

I'd like to seperate the series into 3 parts.

The first part equals about the first 12-13 episodes. You might get the wrong idea, thinking this is a slow Slice-Of-Life show, with parts of action here and there. Still, well done.
2nd part = episodes 14-24(<-- only the 1st half of this ep).
There you witness a lot of twists/turns, emotions and action.
3rd part = 24 (2nd half) - 26. The conclusion. Imo, it got a bit out of hand, considering the increase of bizareness. You'll know what i've meant, once you watch it.

So, all in all, it IS enjoyable. Likeable characters, lots of heart-breaking moments, great emotions e.g.
Anita going crazy after the helicopter crash and getting mad at Yomiko, gave me goosebumps. it was predictable, but the execution of the scene was excellent
, well done action, good score and a nice story.
Some is indeed predictable, e.g.
Seperation; Yomiko must team up with Anita, the only (!!!) ones left behind and Anita found out recently that she hates Yomiko like nothing else... Le sigh...
. I might add: I've never seen so many "seperations" in an anime before (Sisters getting split up, then the other teams, etc, etc).
Though, I'd like to have seen some more things explained, for example
How Wendy, the uber clumsy good-for-nothing (from the OVAs] became an ice-cold, super intelligent "bitch"
.

Despite its flaws, which are minor anyway, you just have to let the charme of the series catch you. You'll enjoy the ride. 9 points!

P.S.: <3 Maggie-chan <3, even tall girls need love!

The beginning is a bit slow you know, but after episode 12 it gets more and more interesting.
But the last 6 episodes were the best. All characters were so good, I dont know who to put the "favorite" on. Awesome show, and thrilling to no end in the end. (Funny sentence...)

If you dont know if to watch this or not... WATCH THIS! ! ! This post was edited by kikichi (73819) on 10.05.2011 12:26.

Not as solid and enjoyable as the OVA but still very good for a superpower series.

I always liked how this show starts out as something unrelated to the prequel and then later on merges the two stories.

The prequel OVA are overflowing with originality ; the TV series just couldn't be as awesome. Still, it's definitely worth watching and well above many others.

It would be a good series IF it wouldn't take itself that serious. It was good to watch once, but it has got nothing special. Sometimes it was hard to pay attention.

Patchy series, quality-wise. Early episodes are alternately hot and cold in watchability. Picks up about halfway, but ends on a distinctly dodgy note. All in all, just like the ova series, a mixed bag.

After watching the OVA, I expected a lot of nice action, but instead I got a drama with very little fighting. At first the drama was a nice addition, being mixed nicely with adventureous epies, but around the middle all of the sudden characters get whiny, angsty and started rapidly losing my respect. Drama by itself wasn't that good, as Anita's actions didn't make any sense and overall negative mood was just dragging the series. Also for some reason there was no epic battle in the last episodes, though the show desperately needed it to justify it's "action" tag.
Overall not a good action, not a good drama, so easily skippable.

a really well done show that has just the right amount of action
starts off a little better then it ends from my point of view but still a respectable ending
better than the OVA's for sure

It was okay, but nothing special. The ending was some major bullshit like usual in anime.

Very well made in terms of production values, coherent action/super power flick and unique story with a bit of variety and tricks. The drama however, particularly "Anita" can get a bit too dragged, tiresome and over extensive so fair to say, its just above average.

On the whole, I loved the series despite its a bit weak in its drama and the conclusion can be offputting but still, remains for me as one of the best action series I've watched so far.

My brain started to melt from the lack of sense this show was making at the end.

For starters as i watched the OVA first, i was dissapointed that Yomiko wasn't the main character in this. Instead i got a stoic sheman, ditzy blondie, and a pink haired loli... I was not amused by this change.
Even though the main character at the start actually was Nenene, the main focus for me was the paper users. And trio generic defintely didn't seem like a good match for Thah PaPer... But after some episodes i noticed that they weren't all that bad and they got really good character development. It took me about half of the series to really like them without constantly thinking that i'd much rather see Yomiko, Nancy and Drake in action. And out of those 3 sisters the fucking loli was the best character. A fucking loli! Other then Nenene, she was a main character way more then the other 2 sisters, and i for one thought her voice actor did really good job.

The main cast was really balanced so i have no complaints about them at all. But then Yomiko came back... Somehow then the balance was a bit broken. Drake was awesome and Nancy was good too but somehow Yomiko who i loved in the OVA had become... Boring...

Overal the animation and action was great but that plot... Oh my god that plot made zero sense. It's not that it's lazy... It's just made by total idiots. Who the fuck would be just like "what ever" if some organization would do the stuff they did in this series? Absolutely fucking no one! They must have had the worst case of anal bleeding after all the stuff they pulled out of their asses.

A really enjoyable show but god damn that was stupid.

This was one of the scenes that made me think "what the fuck did is just watch" even though doesn't have nothing to do with the plot or actually anything.

Seriously!? A fucking excavator!? How did they drive that fucker into the motherfucking bookstore!? More importantly why the fuck did they need it there to begin with? I'ts a god damn bookcase. Any healthy male could knock it down.

I see people complaining that the tv series isn't as good as the ova. Honestly it's the opposite, the tv series has much more depth and story than the OVA. While I like Yomiko, she doesn't have that much character depth and she really didn't get any real development as oppose to the three paper sisters who are actually believable as characters.

And... the tv series is enjoyable. What's your point?
