Julia Sahno

For a long time, I painted just for myself, but I felt that my works didn't reflect what I wanted to convey. It was a challenge, and with it came a long break, during which I didn't paint at all, at most, just small sketches.
But art itself, especially painting, saved me from depression. I decided that I would never give up on this endeavor. Since then, I've started to study painting techniques more diligently, to deepen my understanding of composition, perspective, tone, and warm-cold contrasts.
I am inspired by sunny paintings, those that evoke the feeling of sunlight warmth. I love to showcase the beauty of everyday life, what surrounds us - be it ordinary objects or a landscape. I am fascinated by how artists skillfully guide the viewer's gaze, directing them to the main focal point. And I aspire to that. I want people to start noticing the beauty in the world around them.
For me, painting is not just a process but a genuine pleasure of expressing my vision and conveying my feelings. I aspire for viewers to not only appreciate my work but also to feel themselves in the same place where I was when I created it.
My next step is to join the artistic community and start selling my paintings. This will allow me to dedicate more time to art and not be dependent on other work.
