Joël Martina

Joël has enjoyed mainstream electronic music from the tender age of 12, but it wasn’t until his brother took him to a festival that he discovered techno. He recalls watching Ame & Egbert playing at the time, being mesmerised by the detail and expression of the music. This first techno experience had him sold. As with many young electronic music producers Joël is self taught, although he is very grateful to ‘Love Over Entropy’ from whom he learnt a lot within a short frame of time. Taking his inspiration from labels such as Afterlife, Steyoyoke & Awen Records, Joël has carefully crafted his own signature sound, combining complex drum patterns with dark textures and melodies.
