Bamford Rock Testing Services (BRTS)

It is a pleasure to write a testimonial for this machine which we purchased from Bestech in 2021. We have used it almost non-stop since then and have appreciated its versatility and ease of use in our Rock Testing Laboratory. We have been able to carry out our usual range of commercially requested tests (UCS notably) and also added to our testing repertoire (Direct Tensile Strength, for example) through the adaptability of the Jinan ECT-300.

The software that came with the machine makes its operation easy as it is user friendly and any of our experienced Testing Engineers can familiarise themselves with its use with minimal guidance. It can accurately and repeatedly load samples with a low initial load which avoids weak samples from breaking and enables tests to be completed with surety.

Given its large base area and high vertical travel distance, it can accommodate various sizes of samples which has enabled a wide range of testing to be carried out.

It accurately and completely collects data no matter how long or short the test duration and the data can also be easily interpreted for calculations to be carried out.

Deciding to purchase the Jinan ECT-300 was made easier by Bestech, through the person of Utsav Koirala, and their dedication to answering all of our questions, enabling discussion with the manufacturers and providing ongoing oversight of its operations.

All parameters of workability and reliability have been met to our Laboratory’s satisfaction.

I am writing this note to pass on my appreciation for the recent strain gauging course I attended.

As you are probably well aware from my questions on the day, I’m no rocket scientist, but l appreciated you giving the answers in such a simple and easy-to-understand format.

It was a steep learning curve on the day, but l can honestly say you did not leave anyone behind. I know this to be a fact because l was the one in the class with the least amount of experience and came away with a good knowledge base of the material we covered. (It was such a good idea for you to get everyone to talk a little about themselves at the start, which “loosened” us all up.)

Thank you for accepting my late enrolment and will look forward to doing more business with your organisation in the future.

The Department of Infrastructure Engineering purchased our imc CRONOSflex data acquisition system in 2019 and has been using the DAQ system extensively for research projects and in field testing of civil and infrastructural engineering projects.
The imc DAQ system and associated imc Studio software proved to be easy to use once it was configured and has provided us with high quality data with minimal errors. We would like to express this pleasure with the functionality of the instrument. We would also like to acknowledge the support we
have received from Bestech Australia Pty Ltd and especially Utsav Koirala (Applications Engineer) and Jeremy Bryceson (Product Specialist), for helping us to set up the system and for resolving any enquiries regarding operation and data collection in a timely manner.
Based on feedback from researchers and PhD students in the Department of Infrastructure Engineering, the imc DAQ system is very suitable for the lab tests and the field tests.

The School of Engineering at the Deakin University purchased Mercury DIC System during 2019 – 2020. This is a system used for measuring response of a structure, subjected to monotonic loading. The Mercury DIC is a modular system with multiple software option which can be purchased, as required. School of Engineering at Deakin University has purchased RT, ENTER, PLUS, 3D and FULLFIELD (digital image correlation) modules of the system.

We have been using this system since 2020 extensively for various research projects related to structural and mechanical engineering. We would also like to acknowledge the support we have received from Bestech Australia Pty Ltd, especially Mr Utsav Koirala (Applications Engineer), for setting up this system in our lab and for resolving any enquiries regarding operation and data collection in a timely manner.

Based on feedback from researchers and research students in the School of Engineering, Mercury DIC is an accurate and reliable system to use for strain measurement and analysing structural response of structures subjected to static or monotonic loading.

The School of Agriculture and Food (Faculty of Veterinary and Agricultural Sciences, FVAS) at the University of Melbourne purchased the Lloyd Instruments Texture Analyser TA1 in in 2017 and have been using the instrument extensively for research projects in the fields of Meat and Food Science.

The instrument and associated program (Nexygen) proved to be easy to use once it was configured and has provided consistent results with minimal errors. Writing on behalf of Professor Robyn Warner (Meat Science, School of Agriculture and Food) and Dr. Minh Ha, they would like to express their pleasure with the functionality of the instrument.

We would also like to acknowledge the support we have received from Bestech Australia Pty Ltd and especially Utsav Koirala (Applications Engineer), for setting up this system in our lab and for resolving any enquiries regarding operation and data collection in a timely manner.

Based on feedback from researchers and research students in the School of Agriculture and Food, the Lloyd Instruments Texture Analyser TA1 is an accurate and useful tool for experimental work (e.g., Texture Profile Analysis) in the Meat Research Centre, FVAS.Your Content Goes Here

The School of Civil, Mining and Environmental Engineering at the University of Wollongong purchased the Mercury RT Digital Correlation System two years ago and have been using the system very extensively for research projects in Civil, Mechanical, Structural and Mining areas. Once set up and running, Mercury RT system is very easy to use, and we have found them to remove the need for strain gauging on many of our tensile test specimens.

We would like to acknowledge the support from Bestech Australia Pty Ltd we have received for setting up this system in our lab and for timely resolving all our enquiries regarding operation and data collection using Mercury RT.

I believe the Mercury RT digital correlation system is a very accurate & useful tool for experimental work (both tensile and compressive testing) in our labs.

I have used the Bestech boards at both Holmesglen and The Gordon and found them to be a fantastic learning resource. The quick and easy set-up is ideal and we are finding that they are being used in units from 1st year to the students studying for their LET, LEP and SWP. They have also been great for Construction Wiring and Mandatory Testing.

We found that the students of all groups loved the practical experience of being able to test an installation without leaving the classroom.

As an Electrical Teacher with a bit of experience I would strongly recommend that you ask for Bestech to demonstrate the Test Boards.
