Based on the traditional chex mix recipes from the cereal box - but altered for our personal tastes. This is actually a double batch from the traditional recipe - but a single batch always disappears so fast - so why bother.
Heat oven to 250 degrees F.
In a small mixing bowl - combine butter and worcestershire sauce - then slowly stir in the remaining seasonings. Continue stirring until all seasonings are dissolved.
In a large roasting pan - combine all dry goods.
Using a large spoon (like a soup spoon) - slowly drizzle the seasoning mix over the top of the dry goods. Stop and toss (or stir) the mixture after every couple of spoonfuls to ensure an even coating.
Bake the entire mixture for 1 hour - tossing (or stirring) every 15 minutes.
Allow the mix to cool for 5-10 minutes - then store in an airtight container.
I prefer to toss the mix instead of stirring it to minimize breaking the dry goods into to smaller pieces.
You can alter the amounts for any of the dry ingredients to your own personal taste - as long as the total number of cups remains between 24-28.
