A rider of a "heavily modified" scooter was wrestled to the ground after showing "no consideration" for kids on a footpath. The scooter rider 'unassumingly' passed two PCSOs on push bikers before showing 'no care' towards the three children on a pavement.
As the rider tried to cross the road, he was challenged by one of the officers. The rider then 'rode at' the officer before being "taken to ground" in a bid to get him off the scooter.
Staffordshire Police said the scooter could reach speeds of 55mph. The incident took place on Wilnecote Lane in Tamworth, Staffs, on Monday (October 24).

In a message sent to residents, a PCSO said: "A heavily modified scooter has been seized on Wilnecote Lane following a small altercation with an officer on Monday. The rider was dressed in dark clothing on a dark evening, riding on the pavement and was oblivious to the fact he had passed two PCSOs out on patrol using their pushbikes.
"The rider of the scooter showed no consideration to the 3 young kids using the pavement so was challenged as he looked to cross the road, where he has tried to make off from the officer by riding at and around him. He was taken to the ground in order to get him off the scooter and protect members of the public from injury, which ultimately lead to the scooter being seized and sent for destruction.
"Legal electric pedal assisted e-bike - 1; illegal scooter with speed up to 55mph - 0."
