ITV police drama The Bay returns for the first episode in a brand-new series tonight (March 8). The series, filmed in and around Lancashire’s Morecambe Bay, stars Marsha Thomason as family liaison officer DS Jenn Townsend.
In the first episode of the new series - the show’s fourth - Jenn Townsend is alerted to the killing of a young mother in what appears to be a targeted attack. She finds herself having to gain the trust of her family and get to the truth of what has happened.
The new series is Marsha Thomason’s second in the role of Jenn Townsend, having replaced Morven Christie - who played Lisa Armstrong in the first two series - as The Bay’s lead star in series three. Here’s the full cast list for series four.

The first episode of the series four of The Bay will be broadcast tonight (March 8) at 9pm on ITV1. Episodes will be made available to watch on catch-up via ITVX, the new streaming service, shortly after being broadcast on TV.
