Magic Blu-ray

Second Sight FilmsBritish label Second Sight has announced that it will add to its Blu-ray catalog Richard Attenborough's film Magic (1978), starring Anthony Hopkins, Ann-Margret, Burgess Meredith, Ed Lauter, and David Ogden Stiers. The release will be available for purchase on March 23.

Synopsis: Corky (Anthony Hopkins), a failed magician, adopts a new ventriloquist act with an abrasive dummy named Fats, and suddenly finds himself lined up for a television show. When the unbalanced Corky fears he won't pass the required mental exam, he runs away with Fats to his hometown, where he meets an old love from high school, Peggy (Ann-Margret). Corky persuades Peggy to leave her loveless marriage -- but Fats, who seems to be taking on a mind of his own, doesn't approve of the relationship.

@UncleBingo315 - MPI Media Group's 2010 release was Region A locked. This is certainly one of Anthony Hopkins's best films and I'll be upgrading when it's released.

Does anyone know if the US release has a reversible sleeve with this image on it? That image on the current release is ugly as f#!%.

I remember seeing this back on the Movie Channel back when I was a child around 1980. This was scary to me then, although it might be silly now. I also recall a slasher movie about a doctor who made house calls and killed with a scalpel. I forgot the name of it, but I thought that horror films with a scary story was scarier than a Friday the 13th type of film.
