Romper Stomper Blu-ray

Posted October 19, 2012 07:32 PM by

Capelight PicturesGerman label Capelight Pictures has revealed that it is planning to release on Blu-ray Geoffrey Wright's drama Romper Stomper (1992), starring Russell Crowe, Daniel Pollock, Jacqueline McKenzie, and Alex Scott. Street date is December 7th.

Capelight Pictures will offer standard edition and limited 2-disc Collector's Edition of Romper Stomper. See our listings here and here.

Note: In the U.S., Romper Stomper is distributed by 20th Century Fox Entertainment.

Controversial drama about a group of Melbourne skinheads, lead by the Hitler-worshipping Hando (Russell Crowe, Gladiator), and their violent attacks on the city's immigrant population. When the group is joined by newcomer Gabe (Jacqueline McKenzie, Deep Blue Sea), her epilepsy threatens to disturb the skinheads' ideas of purity and leads to disputes which promise the eruption of yet more violence. At the same time, the gang's future is threatened when the Melbourne Vietnamese community, the target of so many of their hate crimes, begins to fight back.

If you haven't seen this movie yet, let me tell you: there are few things funnier than skinheads crying and getting beaten up.

This movies sucks ASS. Had it on DVD, threw it away like yesterday's trash. Overrated is just half the story. Totally nonsense. Some parts of the "story" could make me vomit.
Rather see American History X! Now that's a movie with some soul in it.
