We had a late evening flight and the staff gave us a longer checkout time. We could use the facilities and the pool area and restaurant were great. Some staff were exceptional others good, all friendly and helpful.

Santiago hasn't got much to interest the tourist.
Santiago hasn't got much to interest the tourist. There are some hills with views, the central square, Plaza de Armas and a few museums. However, Bicentennial Park is nice and you can easily spend a whole day at the Metropolitan Park on the edge of the city.ElizabethUnited Kingdom - Scored 4.04.0

Use Santiago as a spot to travel Chile from. Atacama was incredible and the mountain terrain is beautiful. The city has a lot of homelessness, and there is an uncertainty when walking in some areas that are deemed "fine" by locals. Bolivia for instance has less economic privilege yet many travellers felt safer there than in the city of Santiago. I would stay there a max 1 day. Santiago is a beautiful city that is well worth visiting.
Santiago is a beautiful city that is well worth visiting. What impressed me the most was the cuisine. I am Brazilian and love gastronomy, and Santiago was the place where I found the most delicious food. I also loved the way Chileans welcome Brazilians. The people are very polite and willing to help. The city is relatively safe, especially if you stay in the Las Condes area. I recommend traveling in the fall when the weather is mild and you have a chance to see snow.
