The room was perfect. I love having windows that really open for fresh air as desired.
Comfy bed, plenty of hot water and lights.

I loved the location - right next to Old Town. The staff at the front desk were friendly & efficient. The room was clean, bed was very comfortable, a fridge provided as well as a kettle & coffee/tea. I loved that there was a carafe in the room & filtered cold water just down the hallway. They had umbrellas available to use on what was a very rainy day.

Called the Amber Capital of the World, Gdańsk is the major shipping seaport and the most beautiful city along the Polish Baltic coast. It has everything from fascinating history and great architecture to a friendly atmosphere!
Also known as Danzig due to its complex past with periods of Polish, German and self-rule, the city is part of the Tricity urban area together with the port city of Gdynia and the popular spa town Sopot. It’s also a birthplace of the world-famous Solidarity movement, which helped to bring down Communist rule in Poland, initiating the end of the Cold War era.
Its charming buildings were rebuilt in a historical style after the city's near-complete destruction during World War II. You can admire the colorful townhouses of the Old Town by boat on the Motlawa River or by strolling down the popular Long Street and Long Market.
While in Gdańsk, make sure you visit the 15th-century St. Mary’s Church, the largest brick church in Europe, and make a wish at the Neptune Fountain, the city’s patron. While in town, try the legendary local Goldwasser liqueur with 22 karat gold flakes!
Whether you reach Gdańsk by train or plane, Booking.com has a variety of accommodations near the Lech Walesa Airport, the picturesque Old Town or the general city center.

Gdansk is a destination I have returned to time and time again for over 8 years. It is rich in culture and history, along with hosting many excellent restaurants, museums, bars and cafes.
Being close to the airport and with excellent connections to both Gdynia and Sopot, Gdansk offers a perfect base to explore more than one destination during a visit.
I can whole heartedly recommend Grass Irish Sports Bar for all live sports, with friendly staff and a lively atmosphere in the evenings. Gdanski Bowke for some traditional Polish food in an intimate and cosy setting and also The Legendary Red Dog Saloon for some late-night karaoke.
Overall Gdansk has a unique charm which brings many travellers back all seasons for a short or long break.

So much history there, great museums. Recommend a guided walking tour so you get your bearings. We went in Nov. I imagine it would be even lovelier in summer.

A very beautiful city, easy to walk around (flat !), interesting with lots to see and do, located well for trips out... restaurants were great and prices were so cheap ! It was difficult to pay £25 for a filling meal (we couldn't face a dessert after a meal in any of the restaurants in which we dined !) Even the more 'exclusive'-feeling bars were £4.00-4.50 for 500ml (and very good !) beer. I will come back to this beautiful city- I'm already planning a summer visit. I think I am in love with Gdansk

I do several city breaks per year and this has gone straight into my top 5. Gdansk itself is fantastic, we did the golf cart city tour, took a ferry/boat trip to Hel Peninsula, a taxi to Stutthof, trains to Gdynia and Sopot. Transport was great value and the locations superb. Bars and restaurants were top drawer and again great value. The history of the town is fascinating and has great architecture and a very interesting political history as well, all told was fantastic so don't hesitate and book it. We stayed in the Mercure and it was brilliant.

Gdansk is a beautiful clean city, the architecture is stunning. There is so much to do & see, lots of ways to get round the city including, walking, bus tour, buggies, City walking tours, canoe tours, if you want to go further afield, trains are easy, and local trams, buses good. There is a huge shopping forum, with food court & designer/cheap shops. There are literally hundreds of cafes/restaurants, and though we did not utilise night life, there are plenty clubs advertised. We found a lovely restaurant in the main street, cant remember its name, however there are always queues outside, its very pink inside, the restaurant in the street opposite is the same owners.

Gdansk is more than you see… it’s a big city, if you have the ability I would hire a guide that the hotel can find you , to take you to the other places near it. If to stay in the city itself , I was there for 4 nights and it was the best experience at a hotel I have ever had. I can not give the surprises it has in store but it’s beautiful. Make sure to read the history of the hotel. The city has two major museum that would take you all day to see. We went kayaking on the river and that Too was amazing. The food was great.

The room was very comfortable and I enjoyed having a balcony with a view of the water. The staff were helpful and the spa was well maintained. The highlight was the breakfasts. The variety of made-to-order and buffet options at breakfast was outstanding. The hotel is a short walk from the old town, in a quiet location. My husband really liked the location for going running each morning. Highly recommend staying at the Hotel Almond.
Very clean, new, well-equipped, modern hotel in top tourist location of old Town Gdańsk. Very comfy beds, spacious bath and overall nice and comfy rooms. Didn't try breakfast, so can't comment on that. But there were plenty of nice restaurants to try a different breakfast nearby, at half of the extra price the hotel charged for breakfast normally. So that fit us best.
The hotel is on the border of the very centre of Gdańsk: perfect combination of short distance to the old town and quietness. It’s a place with one of the best breakfasts I’ve had a chance to eat in Poland. Varied, with a hint of local delicacies, delicious.
The swimming pool is another asset. Very nice option to relax after a long-day’s walk around the city.
Great, super clean flat. We stayed in the 2 bedroom flat, very spacious. 15 minutes walk to the center and 10 minutes to the shipyard. The free parking is a big plus. Felt like 5 stars hotel.
The hotel is located in the old town close to bars and restaurants. The staff were helpful and friendly. The room was spacious with a small kitchen area.
