Fern House is a recently renovated guest house in Cork where guests can make the most of its garden and shared lounge.

We liked that the place was clean, cozy, and well located. The host was available to solve our inquiries. We had access to the host kitchen, and tea, coffee, and milk were on the house. Living room, sun room, and back patio were also accessible. I had a lovely herbal tea in the sun room one morning. The communal bathroom was kept clean by the host and other rooms' occupiers. But stops, local shops, and a community garden at a short walking distance. The city center was at a 30-minute walk or at a short ride via bus 208. To be noted that you need your cash to pay for bus your tickets. An additional aspect we liked was the neighbor's black cat visiting the facility at times. A thing to be noted that added cuteness and cosyness to our stay. We love pets. Be aware if you are allergic. However, the host had all the tools, including a vacuum and carpet cleaner, to keep the place clean. The carpet was very soft and kept very clean. The house external look might be gray, but the interiors are well curated and colorful. I liked the yellow bathroom.

This lovely Victorian building is in quiet, private walled gardens and is 1.9 mi from Cork city center, with busses stopping outside the door.

Property was very nice. Short distance from downtown. They are doing a bit of renovations at the B&B but other than the carpets being covered you would hardly notice. Breakfast was great. Offering a full Irish breakfast and more. Rooms were perfect for our family of 4.

The house is a Victorian beauty with lovely rooms and a great view. Not far from the city centre (ca. 15-minute-walk) and also perfectly located to explore the area around Cobh. Ronnie is a wonderful host who made us feel welcome immediately. The superb breakfast, which was served in a beautiful conservatory, was just overwhelming!

We had such a great stay here! Mary was such a great host. She gave us great recommendations for restaurants in town and was very warm and welcoming. She even made fresh croissants for the morning! The location is perfect. It is right along the ocean and close to everything. We stayed in the Garden room and we loved the privacy of it while still being adjacent to the house. We would definitely stay here again if we ever traveled back to Cobh!

Out of 12 B&Bs I stayed in during my 3 weeks in Ireland, this guesthouse was easily #1. My hosts, Maire and Joe, could not have been kinder. My room was quite large; the bed very comfortable; the ambiance quiet. Maire adjusted breakfast to address my allergies - it was delicious. She gave me several suggestions of things to do and see during my stay - all of them spot on. I recommend this guesthouse unreservedly and with true enthusiasm to anyone traveling to Cobh.
