Valerie Bertinelli Shares New Photos from Son Wolfgang Van Halen’s Wedding in 2023 Recap

Before starting a new year, Valerie Bertinelli took a moment to reflect on all of the highlights of 2023—including a particularly memorable moment: the wedding of her son, Wolfgang Van Halen. On December 31, 2023, the actress posted a recap of the past year via a video montage, which featured never-before-seen photos from her only child’s big day to Andraia Allsop.

At the beginning of the clip, Bertinelli is pictured beaming at the camera, while “Thank you 2023” appears on the screen. Then, the footage spotlights a variety images from the past year. Pictures from Van Halen’s wedding, which took place on October 15, 2023, at their home in Los Angeles, is a focal point of the time capsule. In one brand-new photo, the groom is smiling ear to ear at his bride while they share their first dance. Another short clip shows Bertinelli and some of the other wedding guests seated at the ceremony and waving to the camera.

Bertinelli’s post contains several other photos and short videos from her son’s reception. In the montage, viewers spot the actress dancing with a young boy on the dance floor, smiling with a group in a photo booth picture, and walking her son down the aisle. In each snippet, the One Day at a Time star is seen wearing a burgundy blazer and matching skirt. The actress concluded her roundup with a sweet snap of her son and his new wife kissing while driving away in a golf cart, decorated with flowers, greenery, steamers, and a “just married” sign. “Wishing us all a blessed and beautiful 2024,” the text on the screen says. 

In addition to the moving wedding photos, Bertinelli added a heartfelt caption. After sharing that she found “my way back to myself" in 2023, Bertinelli gave a shoutout to her loved ones. “I have so much gratitude for my family and friends, finally being able to freely spend time with them has been such a big source of comfort, joy, hilarity, and healing,” she said. “I love them all so. ✨♥️.” She also expressed her gratitude for her Instagram community. 

To conclude her post, the actress shared words of wisdom with her followers, which she encouraged them to adopt in 2024. “And do me a favor?” she began. “Indulge in your life. The good, the bad, and the ugly. Feel it all, then do your best to release what doesn’t belong to you. Please don’t tolerate the intolerable. You deserve better. We all do.
