Arrived Tuesday afternoon and stayed until Saturday evening. The campground is small, but the sites are huge. Each site has a large gravel pad to park your trailer and then an extended gravel pad for the picnic table. The sites are amazing. I was on site 27 and required no side to side leveling. I had plenty of room to park my truck in front of our 43ft 5th wheel. They have a rule that absolutely nothing can be set up on the grass, and they are strict about it. No tents, canopies, boats, vehicles, nothing. Traffic throughout the park is very light which is nice for the little ones. Most of the sites have lake access, but it can be a little rocky. There is a nice sandy beach that they maintain very well. The beach can get crowded on the weekends though. I did not shower in the bath house but they appeared to be very clean and well kept. The camp store is not always staffed, and they offer very little in the way of supplies. The next closest store is a Dollar General Market fifteen minutes up the road. Cell service inside the park was fine, we have T-Mobile and at times would get 5G. The lake is very nice and clean but can get choppy with heavy boat traffic. They do have a decent playground for kids as well as some activities on the weekends. We did the water fall loop hike at the park and it was very nice. The biggest appeal for me was the small park size, large sites and pads, that required little to no leveling, and each site had 30/50amp and water. The dump station served its purpose and created no issues. I would definitely return. It was a 45 minute drive to Mammoth Cave National Park, well worth it.

Really enjoyed our stay at Nolin Lake State Park. Be sure to pay careful attention to the directions on the website since the ferry may not be working. We stayed here during the first weekend in August and greatly enjoyed the scenic campground. Would definitely stay there again.

As we drove into the Campground, i quickly realized it was going to be one of my favorite campgrounds. Very clean, well laid out, nice spacious sites etc. When we got to our site, #23, i knew it was my favorite campground so far. For all of the same reasons, plus our site was fairly well shaded, nice and wide, trees for a hammock plus a trail down to the water so my Girl could launch her kayak.
The site was nice and mostly level, the water and electrical connections they have here should be a standard at all campgrounds. That said, we couldn't drink the water from the spigot. It didn't taste good and i tried refilling a bottle we freeze to keep stuff cool, and it foamed up like the head of a beer.
I do have to say, they need more help. The camp check in was only open once as we came in and out. If you needed help, there was a note on the door telling you where you could find them, but if you had a camper and trying to check in, it would have been a real headache.
i know sites 21, 23 & 25 have access to the lake and others were tying their pontoons up during their stay.
For primitive campers, the area behind the main office is one of the coolest tent camping areas we've seen. Very tall evergreen trees, well laid out.
I highly recommend this campground if you're in the area or intend on camping while you visit Mammoth Cave NP.

We stayed two nights in April 2023 and enjoyed every minute. So peaceful and quiet. The staff were helpful and went out of their way to assist us with firewood even though they were out of the entry booth at the time. We also enjoyed a wooded hike on the other side of the beach area.

Arrived during a Tornado Watch. Park staff had weather warning and information at each site. Very helpful.
Sites were large, easy to back into and spaced generously apart.
Would absolutely recommend.

We loved our stay here. The campsites are generously spaced and well laid out. Our site was very long but also curved, it wasn't too bad but was trickier than a straight up back in site. Access around the area is via winding roads some of which have lots of trees. Rosie is 13'3" tall and we didn't hit anything that caused damage but there was definitely some pucker factor because of tree limbs.
There is laundry and showers at the bath house. The facilities are clean and well kept up. The staff was very helpful and took their jobs seriously; you can tell they take pride in making this a special place.
The lake is beautiful, we spent several afternoons paddling around and loved the wildlife and scenery.

Huge private sites with water and electric hookups, fire pit with grate, and picnic table. There were many pine trees around our site (Site 2) that gently snowed pine needles for our entire stay. It was very peaceful! We saw deer, squirrels and bunnies in the woods behind our site. The campground has a dump station, bathhouse with showers, and coin operated laundry ($1.50 to wash, $1.50 to dry). The bathhouse was in good clean condition, we used the showers here since we didn’t have sewer connections at our site.
It’s about a 40 minute drive from the campground into Mammoth Cave National Park visitors center. We enjoyed our stay at Nolin Lake State Park but wished they had kayak/canoe rentals to take on the huge lake! Check in was easy. Camp host was very nice and friendly.
We had 1 bar of Verizon service, which went up to about 3 bars with a Weboost cell booster. The service with the booster was good enough to work remotely all week. Only screen-sharing and video calls during meetings lagged. We had no service with GoogleFi (which is Sprint, US cellular and T-Mobile).
We would stay here again!

Nice sites, sizes for all types of campers. Now the bad part - day before we left - needed to use the laundry - only Hot water would come out - no cold. Found that out after my wife had already loaded 2 machines with clothes. Our attempt to find someone to fix it was met with complete “oh well” attitude. There are 2 people here - “maintenance” people that apparently can’t do anything but blow dead leaves around and sometimes check people in at a gate that is never secured and, curiously, there are no vehicle tags to identify who should be here. They said they’d call the manager, who was not there (as a matter of fact, I never saw anyone in the main office). A real pity that an otherwise nice stay is sullied by a lack of support or control.

We walked up to the gate to get some firewood and the gentleman would let us carry the wood and insisted on delivering it...we’re really not used to that kind of treatment! There is not much to do right in camp so plan on driving to the numerous attractions in the area.

Nice level sites with electric and water. Dump on site. Several sites on the lake. Close to Mammoth Caves. Can’t take RV on Ferry so have to drive 40 minutes each way unless your towing a car or motorcycle.
