2024 SPRING NABC CLINIC - LAS VEGAS, NV

Tobin Anderson has been successfully climbing the ranks of college basketball since 1996. One of his most successful stops was at St. Thomas Aquinas College, a Division II program. Anderson quickly established a dominant presence there, leading the Spartans to seven consecutive NCAA Division II Tournament appearances, a remarkable feat. The pinnacle of this era came in 2017 when St. Thomas Aquinas reached the Elite Eight, showcasing Anderson's ability to compete at the highest level of Division II basketball. He further cemented his legacy by capturing five East Coast Conference regular-season titles and six conference tournament championships during his tenure.

Anderson's coaching journey wouldn't be complete without mentioning his impactful year at Fairleigh Dickinson University (FDU) in 2022. He stepped in as head coach and immediately made a splash, leading the Knights to a historic upset victory over top-seeded Purdue in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. This marked only the second time in history a No. 16 seed had defeated a No. 1 seed, etching Anderson's name in March Madness lore.

Jerrod Calhoun established himself as an up-and-coming coach during his six seasons at Fairmont State University. Taking the helm in 2012, he transformed the Falcons into a regional power. Under his leadership, Fairmont State secured four NCAA Division II Tournament appearances, culminating in a national runner-up finish in 2017. He was recognized for his achievements, earning the 2017 Mountain East Conference Coach of the Year award.

In 2017, Calhoun accepted the head coaching position at Youngstown State University, in his home state. He seamlessly continued his winning ways, leading the Penguins to a significant turnaround. The turnaround culiminated in a Horizon Conference championship in 2023.

In coach Hamilton's first five seasons as head coach, the Colonels shattered 49 program records! The 2022-23 season saw Hamilton lead the team to 23 wins, the third-most in program history. Hamilton owns two of the top five winningest seasons ever for EKU.

Moreover, the 2022-23 season brought another historic first: Hamilton led the Colonels to the championship game of the College Basketball Invitational (CBI). This marked both the program's first appearance in a national postseason tournament title game and the first time in 78 years that an EKU team won three games in a national tournament.

National Park College (AR) head men's basketball coach Dillon Hargrove was named the 2023-24 NJCAA Division II Men's Basketball Coach of the Year. James Jones, the all-time winningest men’s basketball coach at Yale and one of the most successful coaches in Ivy League history, was named Yale's head coach in 1999.
