Fast fashion comes at a huge cost to the environment. Let fashion brands know you care.
The Issue
Water pollution, toxic chemical use and textile waste. Fast fashion focuses on speed and low costs in order to deliver the trendiest collections from the runway to your closet but at the cost of greatly and permanently damaging the environment. What's the point in looking good when Mother Earth is dying? Let Fashion Brands know that you care about the environment and would much rather invest in sustainable wear if it means saving the environment.
At the forefront of Fast Fashion are brands who believe that we live in a consumer culture that teaches us to buy more things every day to constantly stay on top of the latest fashions and trends. But if we tell them that although this is in fact true, us Millennials & GenZ people #WeCareAboutWhatWeWearAnd and where it comes from, the process it goes through, where it goes after production, and if it is sustainably made. We care about what we wear and and its effects to the environment.
What is fast fashion? Fast fashion are clothes made by companies that copy catwalk looks. They tend to use extremely efficient supply chains to release clothes fast to the masses at the very cheap prices. They tend to cut environmental corners when it comes to making their clothes in order to get it to retailers in time.
- fast fashion is the #2 most polluting industry second to the oil industry itself
- Textile dyeing is the second largest polluter of clean water globally, after agriculture.
