Our publication has received recognition annually from the Milwaukee Press Club for excellence in journalism. In 2021, we took home nine Milwaukee Press Club awards.
In addition, the magazine has won several national City Regional Magazine Association awards. In 2021, Madison Magazine won the association’s top award: General Excellence in our circulation category. We’ve also earned awards for civic journalism and our multimedia collaborations with News 3 Now and channel3000.com, plus nominations for general excellence in 2009, 2011, 2014-2017. In 2017, the “Out of the Shadows” cover story written by Maggie Ginsberg was a CRMA award finalist for civic journalism, and in 2018, “The Real Mike Koval” written by Doug Moe was a CRMA award finalist for best profile.
We host dozens of community events annually, including Madison Restaurant Week, Top Shelf Taste events, Best of Madison and Best of Madison Business.
