Long grain, soft surface and non-stickiness. This is parboiled! The rice gets cooked quickly and has more nutrients than the classic rice. It is a delicious side dish, makes vegetable soups extraordinary and along with an organic egg, it plays the main role in salads. Try lemon rice with pesto and chia seeds. The peculiarity of this rice is that its grains are soaked and specially pre-steamed before peeling. During this process, nutrients are transferred from the rice´s skin directly into the rice grain. Thanks to this procedure, parboiled rice gets cooked faster, does not get overcooked and is not sticky. Its colour is slightly yellowish due to the steam treatment. However, it changes back to white after cooking.
It is primarily suitable as a side dish or as part of salads, to which it gives interesting taste, texture and added nutritional value.
