Could you pick out the Starbucks barista who served you two weeks ago in a busy crowd at a concert? If so, you could be one of the 0.1 to one percent of people known as 'super recognizers', whose brains have an amazing ability to remember faces. For these people, a brief glimpse is enough to identify an incognito celebrity or remember a complete stranger, even years later. Some can also identify or match faces they have seen once, even if they're flipped upside down, pixelated, or shown at a different angle. A pandemic-era study even found that super-recognizers could identify a masked person based on their eyes alone. If you think you're a super-recognizer, see if you can identify the upside down celebrity photos below.

Causes of mysterious Havana Syndrome finally revealed in declassified report... and why Americans should be terrified
A government report has finally revealed what may have caused a mysterious brain disorder plaguing thousands of Americans. This week, the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence released a declassified report on Havana syndrome, a neurological disorder plaguing government officials stationed in Cuba. The subcommittee, chaired by Arkansas representative Rick Crawford, states that 'it appears increasingly likely' that a 'foreign adversary' could be behind some of the cases, dubbed 'Anomalous Health Incidents' (AHIs). This insinuates that US intelligence networks in Cuba and other affected areas could have been compromised by agents in 'adversary' countries like China , Cuba, and Russia.
Hundreds are killed as new drug 100 times more potent than fentanyl rips across 37 states
A drug 100 times more potent than fentanyl has been sweeping the US in the past year, causing deaths in 37 states, according to a new CDC report. The drug, called carfentanil, is a derivative of fentanyl that was designed to tranquilize elephants, and is the most potent commercial opioid on the market. Overdoses with the drug seven fold increased seven-fold in the past year, hitting states like Florida and West Virginia the hardest. It comes in powder, paper, tablet, patch and spray form, and can be inhaled, ingested or absorbed through the skin. In it's powdered form, the drug mimics cocaine or heroin, and is often mixed into other illegal drugs like xylazine or counterfeit pills. As little as 2 milligrams of the drug can be lethal - slowing breathing to dangerous levels, leading to brain damage or death.
Researchers discover the four crucial factors that can protect you from developing dementia
A recent study, led by experts from The University of Queensland , scientists found frailty increased among people about four to nine years before a dementia diagnosis. Analysing data from four studies of 30,000 Brits and Americans, the authors found frailty increased the risk of subsequent dementia diagnosis by between 18 and 73 per cent. Frailty is a medical term for people who, for mostly age-related reasons, have lost the biological reserves of vitality which healthy adults have. In practical terms, it means even a relatively minor fall or infection can become potentially serious, with frail adults at increased risk of becoming disabled, or needing a hospital admission or long term care.
