The Masked Singer: Duff Goldman reveals identity after performing as McTerrier on season premiere
Celebrity pastry chef Duff Goldman was the first contestant to be eliminated from The Masked Singer on Wednesday during its season seven premiere on Fox.
Duff, 47, performed as McTerrier, a giant terrier wearing a Scottish kilt.
He had a major setback after he took the stage to sing his song as he tripped and his mask fell off.

Duff appeared to have trouble seeing inside his giant Scottish dog costume and stumbled getting to the stage for his performance.
Show host Nick Cannon, 41, commented that he didn't appear to be able to see at all in his mask and bumped into him.
When Duff finished singing Everybody's Working For The Weekend by Loverboy, he ended the song by howling like a dog.

A moment later, he appeared to be nearing the edge of the stage and Jenny worried that he was going to fall . Then suddenly his mask fell to the ground. Duff turned away from the crowd trying to hide his identity.
His mask was on the stage as he yelled, 'What do I do? What do I do?'
Jenny told the other judges to turn around and not look. A production assistant ran and got the mask and put it back on him.

'This is a first,' said Nick. 'He just sang his head off.'
The judges said they didn't see anything. Jenny asked Duff, after put his McTerrier mask back on, if he was okay.
'I'm fine,' he said in a Scottish accent. 'I was just worried because I'm commando under here.'

The judges took their guesses based on his singing and on his clues that included a gold record and candle.
Nicole Scherzinger, 43, wondered if the axe clue he displayed could be a sign that it was a politician 'who was given the axe and had to leave office.'

'Well God there's a billion of those,' said Jenny.
Ken Jeong, 52, thought he might be Mike Meyers because of his Scottish accent. Nicole said she thought it might be actor Ewan McGregor.
Robin Thicke, 45, said the clues were leading him to think it might be Flea from the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Jenny said she thought it might be someone like comedian Jeff Ross.

In the end Duff, who was competing for The Good team against The Bad and The Cuddly teams battling out for the top prize of the Golden Mask Trophy was eliminated.
Nick asked Duff what was going through his mind when his mask fell off.
'I didn't want to get sued,' said Duff. 'I thought ''aw, no, you can't do that! I was really worried I messed it up for everybody''.'

Nicole told him that he had a great recovery.
'You were incredible, dude,' said Ken.
'And you made this a great premiere, man,' said Nick.

Nick asked him why he wanted to do The Masked Singer and Duff said, 'I have a daughter and she just turned one two days ago.'
'She is going to love this someday,' said Jenny.
Duff's mask flying off wasn't even the most shocking incident during the show's one-hour premiere.

The Good team contestant Firefly appeared to be choking inside her mask and medics rushed to the stage to assist her. The incident occurred shortly after Firefly came to the stage sporting a black sleek outfit with wings and dancing.
'Those be some dancer legs,' Jenny said.
'Firefly is definitely fire and fly,' Nick quipped.

Her clues packaged included the Apollo Theater, Tyler Perry, and the Statue of Liberty. She took the stage and started singing Ain't Nobody by Chaka Khan, but moments into her song she bent over, started coughing and appeared to be choking.
'Somebody needs to help her,' yelled Jenny. 'Somebody help her.'
'Somebody get up there!,' Robin shouted.

Ken, a doctor, got out of his seat and ran toward the stage and said, 'She's choking. Get a medic right now.'
'Now!,' screamed Nicole.
Production personnel rushed to Firefly and stood around her prepared to take off her mask.

'I'm right here to take it off,' a responder told her.
The show then broke for commercials. When it returned, Nick told the audience that 'before the break, Firefly had to suddenly stop her performance. She's backstage right now being looked after by our set medic. Her wellbeing is our top priority. But for now, the show must go on.'
Later in the show, Nick announced that Firefly had recovered and she returned to the stage to finish her performance.

Nick informed the audience that 'this Firefly is one heck of a fighter' as the costumed insect returned to the stage after her scare. She then continued to sing her song Ain't Nobody.
All the judges stood for her performance and cheered her on.

'It's got to be hard enough to walk out there and put on these costumes,' said Robin. 'Then you have to go through that type of challenge. To be able to go backstage and be able to regroup that quickly and come out here and put on the best performance of the night, I mean, I think she's gonna be hard to stop all season.'

'I've been performing all my life and it feels amazing every time I step onstage,' Firefly said.

Ken said he was thinking it might be Alicia Keys. Jenny said maybe it could be comedian Aisha Tyler or she thought it might be the singer Monica.
'Whoever you are, you are one of the best singers we've had,' said Robin. 'Amazing.'
'You lit up the stage for sure,' Nick said to her.

Also performing on the show was Thingamabob, a giant green fluffy creature wearing a sequined outfit with blue teeth, from Team Cuddly.
He came out first and sang Wanted Dead Or Alive by Bon Jovi.
'That was epic,' said Ken as the audience cheered when the performance ended.

'Wanted indeed,' Robin said.
'That was out of control, amazing,' Jenny said.
Ken thought it would be epic if Thingamabob was actually the vocalist from Metallica, James Hetfield. Jenny wasn't so sure. She thought it had more of the body of an athlete. She thought it could be WWE Hall of Famer Chris Jericho.

'He's got that kind of body,' said Jenny.
Robin also thought it might be an athlete and guessed that it could be former NFL player Terrell Owens.
From the Bad team, Cyclops, a giant green mask with one eye and a horn in the middle of his head, performed next. He sang My Sacrifice by Creed.

'That performance was lit,' said Nicole, who was wearing a white fringed dress. 'It took me back to my rocker days. I can't imagine even moving in that thing and you are still rocking out. I loved it.'
Nick asked him why he chose to be the Cyclops and he said that 'growing up I connected more with monsters. I was the kind of kid that was disappointed at the end of Beauty And The Beast when he turned handsome.'
Jenny, wearing a halter neck blue sequined neck, said the villain that was sticking out in her head was Cobra Kai actor William Zabka.

'There really are no bad guesses in that Dojo,' said Jenny.
Robin said it might be Rob Dyrdek of Ridiculousness.
'Whoever you are, you did team Bad proud,' said Robin.
Team Bad sent out Ram, a gladiator-themed gold costume with a red feather headdress and horns, to represent their team. His clue package included a referee and a quarters piggy bank. He sang the Cheap Trick song I Want You To Want Me.

Ram said he was used to telling stories under the lights and that he had worked his whole life to get to where he was.
Jenny said the clues were leading her to believe that it was football coach Jim Harbaugh.
'To me this has got to be an NFL star,' said Ken. 'This has got to be an NFL quarterback.'

Robin said he thought it might be Peyton Manning.

The Masked Singer will return next Wednesday on Fox.
