Ben Affleck's son Samuel, 12, is the perfect mini-me to his movie-star mom

It has been remarked on before how much Ben Affleck's young son Samuel resembles the acclaimed actor and filmmaker.

But the 12-year-old nepo baby doesn't just favor his father — he's also a dead ringer for his famous mother.

The resemblance was particularly prominent on Sunday night, when the 52-year-old Argo star shared court-side seats with Samuel at the Los Angeles Lakers' home game against the Toronto Raptors.

Although the youngest Affleck child shared his father's strong chin, he had the model-like facial structure of his mother, Jennifer Garner.

The age-defying 52-year-old actress was previously spotted out with her littlest mini-me when they accompanied middle child Fin, 15, to church earlier this month.

Sunday's game emphasized Samuel's striking resemblance to Jennifer.

He shares her famously prominent cheekbones, and he also boasts a more square-shaped face like her, compared to his dad Ben's longer, thinner face.

Samuel even seems to sport a nearly identical nose to the Juno actress, whereas Ben has a longer, more sloping nose.

Perhaps the most obvious similarity Samuel shares with his mother is his seemingly upbeat temperament.

The junior athlete is usually pictured out with his parents sporting a wide smile, which looks far more like Jennifer than Ben.

She's famous for her infectious, toothy smile, which is likely a factor in her success in Hollywood.

By contrast, Ben tends to look far more somber in public than his ex-wife, whose divorce from him was finalized in 2018.

That may be due to circumstances, such as his ongoing divorce from his second wife, Jennifer Lopez, but he tends to be the more serious-looking parent.

However, Ben tends to light up whenever he's picture spending quality time with Samuel or his other children. 

Of course, there's no telling how Samuel may evolve in his teen years, as his siblings are vastly different in their parental resemblances. 

Ben and Jennifer's oldest daughter Violet bears an eerie resemblance to her mother, even though the Yale student now towers over her.

The former couple's middle child, Fin, tends to bear more of a resemblance to Ben, though they also share some of Jennifer's winning features.

Ben and Jennifer were married from 2005 until their 2015 split, though it wasn't until 2018 that their divorce was finalized.

Despite the personal issues that drove them apart, the exes have remained committed co-parents and strong friends, and they regularly come together to celebrate family events.

During his outing to the Lakers game with Samuel, Ben looked cool and casual in a khaki button-up and gray jeans.

The Oscar winner completed the look with a pair of Nike sneakers and rocked a dark beard.

Ben and his son cheered the Lakers on to victory, with the LA team winning the game with a final score of 123–103.

Samuel rocked a long-sleeve black top and a pair of dark jeans. Like his dad, he also sported a pair of sneakers. 

Ben appeared to be in good spirits, despite his ongoing divorce from the Hustler star, who recently put on a spectacular show on the red carpet at the Los Angeles premiere for Wicked. 

Lopez filed for divorce in August on her and Ben's second wedding anniversary, after months of rumors that their relationship was on the brink of collapse. 

Despite his second divorce, Affleck has not given up on love.

'Ben has not given up on relationships and finally feels ready to move forward and start dating again,' an insider recently told DailyMail.com. 

'He is not going to jump into anything serious until the divorce is finalized but that does not mean he cannot date.' 

However, the woman must either be sober or in recovery, as he is not willing to jeopardize his own sobriety. 

The source continued: 'He only wants to date someone who is sober or in recovery.'

'These past two years have been tough for Ben and as he begins to heal, one thing is very clear: his recovery comes before anything. He is not going to put his sobriety in jeopardy.’
