Ronnie Wood, 77, is supported by glamorous wife Sally, 46, as he launches an exhibition of his artwork - after raking in more than £1million in one year through his paintings

Ronnie Wood was joined by glamorous wife Sally as they attended a gallery launch in London on Tuesday evening.

The Rolling Stones legend was hand-in-hand with Sally while launching an exhibition of his own work at the Andrew Martin shop on Walton Street in Chelsea.

Ronnie, 77, looked appropriately smart in a black two-piece suit and crisp white dress shirt as he greeted onlookers before making his way inside.

Meanwhile Sally, 46, on hand to support her husband, caught the eye in a floral minidress, sheer black tights and conventional black heels.

Away from his work with The Rolling Stones, Wood has won accolades - and earned a tidy sum - through his passion for art.

The musician has made more than £1million through his paintings, with accounts filed in 2023 revealing made a massive £1,437,277 in profit the previous year.

He discovered his talent for painting at Ealing Art College in the 60s alongside fellow stars Freddie Mercury and Pete Townshend.

After finding fame, Ronnie picked up a paint brush again in the 80s.

He previously said: 'When I am painting, I lose track of time. I get engrossed. It's great'.

One of his paintings, unveiled in March 2023, depicted The Rolling Stones - among them late drummer Charlie Watts - performing on a street in Havana.

Taking to Instagram to share the new piece, he wrote: 'Ronnie's latest portrait of the Rolling Stones shows the band on a Havana Street, with Charlie playing a Cuban drum, Mick dancing with a flourish and Darryl throwing his Fedora into the air!

'The painting illustrates how the band were inspired and invigorated by the Havana musical scene and the people of Cuba, at the time of their spectacular free concert for over 500,000 people.'

Another painting is dated March 25, 2016 and showed the setlist of the free concert that the band played in Cuba, which was filmed for Havana Moon.

It was quickly classified as the fifth fastest-selling album of the year and the third most streamed album on Apple Music.

Six tracks from the new record — Angry, Sweet Sounds of Heaven, Get Close, Bite My Head Off, Depending on You and Mess it Up — made this week’s top 100 singles midweek chart.
