Beyonce meets The Lion King on Broadway's Syndee Winters... ahead of her own role as Nala in remake
Beyoncé Knowles-Carter came face to face with The Lion King on Broadway star Syndee Winters during the WACO Theater Center's third annual Wearable Art Gala in Los Angeles on June 1.
The 37-year-old R&B diva happens to voice the same exact character Nala in Jon Favreau's longer, CG-animated reboot of Disney's The Lion King, which hits US/UK theaters July 19.
During the gala, Winters - who took over the lioness role in January - performed the song Shadowland from the Tony-winning musical, which is currently running at Manhattan's Minskoff Theatre.
Beyoncé sits on the advisory board for the WACO Theater Center, which was co-founded by her mother Tina Lawson, and the Wearable Art Gala was broadcast June 11 on OWN.
