Wayne Rooney told his wife Coleen to do the school run as he thought he had a EAFC Pro Clubs 'Training session' to attend.
The Manchester United legend is currently on the lookout for his next managerial role, having endured a nightmare few months at Birmingham City. But while he is looking for his next job, the 38-year-old appreciates a spot of EAFC, formally FIFA, on the PlayStation.
He found time to have a few games with fiery YouTuber 'Angry Ginge' and even used his own hair colour against him. However, the red-headed social media star managed to get his own back, as Rooney took a joke he said far too literally – and missed the school run as a result.

TNT SportAngry Ginge, whose real name is Morgan Samley Burtwistle, took to his social media pages and uploaded an amusing video of Rooney's unfortunate, but outright hilarious, moment of confusion. Burtwistle said: “I said to him, ‘Training 8-11’. Next thing you know, 10 o’clock in the morning, I’m in bed trying to get to sleep and I get a phone call from Rooney.
“He said: ‘So I take it we’re not training lad’. I said ‘What? What do you mean mate?’ Generally, I’m p***ing myself, I’m absolutely p***ing myself, already, because I know what is coming.

“He goes, ‘Well, I’ve been up since half seven with the controller in my hands. I’ve just found it’s just banter you guys have’. So he’s been sat there, since half seven, ready for ‘training’ with his controller. Unreal.
“He goes, I’ve had to tell my missus that I can’t do the school run because I’ve got training. I am genuinely not joking when I say that, I cannot put into words how much I have p***ed myself.”
Rooney has been out of work since the start of the year, when he was removed from his position at the Blues. He was fired after a dismal run of nine defeats in 15 matches left them on the brink of the Championship relegation zone.
He will have to rebuild a managerial reputation that was once strong, after he almost kept Derby County in the Championship, despite being deducted 21-points.
