ABOUT

Bear Creek Lake State Park is located in central Virginia, less than an hour west of Richmond. It's the ideal getaway for the outdoor enthusiast and those wishing to cut their teeth on the great outdoors. Activities center on the little lake that offers a boat launch, fishing pier, boat rentals and a summer swimming beach.

There is also a meeting facility, housekeeping cabins, camping, picnicking, an archery range and playgrounds for the kids. Visitors to this park enjoy the park's trails and access to the adjoining 16,000-acre Cumberland State Forest, which also includes the 14-mile Cumberland Multi-use Trail, which is available for walking, hiking, mountain biking and horseback riding. Birders love this trail too, so bring binoculars and camera. Consider this park for your next corporate retreat or girlfriends' getaway.
