Cornelius "Neal" Clark, 89, of Moncks Corner, SC, a retired carpenter at the Charleston Naval Weapons Station, died Sunday evening in a local nursing home.
His funeral will be 5:00 PM Wednesday, August 26, 2020, in the Chapel of Dial-Murray Funeral Home, Moncks Corner. Interment will follow in the Ebenezer United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3:30 PM until the hour of service on Wednesday. Flowers will be accepted or the family suggests memorials be made to the MUSC Foundation/Hollings Cancer Center, PO Box 250450, Charleston, SC 29425, or to Crescent Hospice, 4401 Belle Oaks Dr Suite 105, North Charleston, SC 29405.
Mr. Clark was born April 15, 1931, in Moncks Corner, SC, a son of James C. "Jim" Clark and Eva Dangerfield Clark. He enjoyed gardening and working with his bees for gardening purposes, making picnic tables and swings, and going to Guy and Tina's Pickin Parlor to listen to Bluegrass. Mr. Clark formerly worked part time for Dangerfield Construction, and he was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Barry Wilkerson, and five sisters and five brothers.
Surviving are his wife, Cecil Driggers Clark; two daughters, Laurie C. Wilkerson of Moncks Corner, and Amy C. Dennis and her husband, Mike, of Moncks Corner; a special nephew, Kevin R. Driggers of Moncks Corner; a brother, Tony Clark of Charleston; three grandchildren, Cassie (Fred) Butler, Jansson (Heather) Wilkerson, and Caleb (Katherine) Dennis; and three great grandchildren, Langston Wilkerson, Liam Butler, and Bryson Wilkerson.
