Editorial Reviews

Editorial Reviews

“With inspired writing and the tension-inducing talents of a true master, Nelson DeMille delves into one of the most mysterious tragedies in recent history—TWA Flight 800…his most entertaining and skillful novel to date.” Dan Brown, #1 New York Times bestselling author
“What ratchets up the tension in this capably written thriller is what the reader knows but Corey doesn’t as he heads for a showdown…You don’t have to believe in conspiracies or government cover-ups to find his latest engrossing, entertaining, and enlightening.” Amazon.com
“The pages will turn in a blur as a feeling of dread grows, until the end comes and one’s worst fears are confirmed. Readers will think about this one for a long time.” Publishers Weekly
“As usual, DeMille spins a well-crafted, timely, and exciting tale. Corey is a cynical and sarcastic ex-cop who’s been around the block at least once too often, while Mayfield is a straight-arrow FBI lawyer who wants desperately to do right for the dead of Flight 800. To do so, they must deal with sinister forces within their own government as they unknowingly count down to 9/11. Strongly recommended for most popular-fiction collections.” Library Journal
“This real-life tragedy hands DeMille perhaps his finest plot ever, one that involves real feeling and will have you squirming and calling out at various dangers.” Kirkus Reviews
“Scott Brick has a clear take on Nelson DeMille’s tension-rich style. Building the suspense and puzzling through layers of questions, Brick leads listeners with a comfortable style. Using enough character voices to keep the portraits clear, he colors Corey with a vocal depiction that lets the wise-guy sarcasm bloom while the ‘won’t-take-no’ instincts run deep alongside. Nicely nuanced and involving.” AudioFile

One of Best Nelson Demille Yey !!

This book was and is so good I would listen to it again even through I now know the ending . Yes it was that good , the narration of Scott Brick as John Cory is just unbelievable . The dialogue as with all Mr. Demille's books is crisp and of course at many times down right funny even with dealing such a heavy subject. I won't spoil the ending for you other than to say I never saw it coming. Listen to this book and you will be hooked on the story from the first track till the end as I was .
