Today Skybound and Image Comics announced the all-new Invincible Universe series Battle Beast, which reunites the longtime Invincible creative team of co-creator/writer Robert Kirkman (Void Rivals, The Walking Dead) and contributing creator/artist Ryan Ottley (The Amazing Spider-Man), who first created the fan-favorite character together nearly two decades ago. For the first time a new Invincible comic has been on shelves in seven years, the debut issue of the first-ever Battle Beast series will be available in comic book shops in April 2025.

Perfect for longtime fans and new readers alike, the new ongoing series promises to reveal the secret story of crowd favorite Battle Beast in what is the most demanded Invincible story of all time.

Created by Robert Kirkman and Cory Walker, Invincible #1 debuted to critical acclaim on January 22, 2003. Ryan Ottley joined soon after on issue #8 in late 2003 as the new series artist and contributing creator. Throughout its fifteen-year run at Image Comics, Invincible not only continued for a historic 146 issues, but also spawned multiple spin-off series and even an inter-company crossover with a certain friendly neighborhood superhero. Prime Video recently announced that the critically acclaimed adult animated series co-produced by Skybound Animation and Amazon MGM Studios will return for season 3 on February 6, with new episodes airing weekly through March 13. The Electric State centers on a teenager (Brown) and her robot friend joining a wanderer (Pratt) to track down the girl’s missing younger brother in the 1990s following a war between humans and machines.

The final film in Sony Animation’s Spider-Verse trilogy has found its directors as Bob Persichetti and Justin K. Thompson have been set to helm Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse.

“We have had the immense privilege of being part of Miles’ journey from the very beginning, and directing the conclusion to his story is beyond exciting,” said Persichetti and Thompson. “The creativity and care poured into every minute of this project has been truly inspiring. We have crafted what we feel is a very satisfying ending, and we can’t wait for fans to experience it – we’re bringing everything we’ve got!”

Persichetti and Thompson have been integral members of the franchise’s creative team from the onset. Persichetti previously served as part of the Oscar-winning directorial team on 2018’s Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, and was an executive producer on last year’s Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. Thompson served as the production designer on Into the Spider-Verse, where he was instrumental in developing the franchise’s groundbreaking visual style.

Prime Video has renewed its freshman animated series Secret Level for a second season. Additional new episodes from Season 1 were released on the streamer today.

From Amazon MGM Studios and Blur Studio, Secret Level is an adult-animated anthology series featuring original stories set within the worlds of popular video games. Season 1 includes episodes highlighting Dungeons & Dragons, Sifu, New World, Unreal Tournament, Warhammer 40,000, Pac-Man, Crossfire, Armored Core, The Outer Worlds, Mega Man and Honor of Kings, to name a few. From the creatives behind Love, Death + Robots, each of the episodes is a celebration of games and gamers.

The title premiered on Dec 10, and within its first week, Prime Video says it became their largest new animated series debut compared to other recent releases including Sausage Party, Hazbin Hotel, Invincible and The Legend of Vox Machina. (via Deadline)

Mason Gooding will be back for more “Scream.”

Variety is reporting that the actor will reprise his role as Chad Meeks-Martin for the seventh installment of the horror franchise. Jasmin Savoy Brown, who plays Chad’s sister Mindy, has not officially signed on yet.

News of Gooding’s return comes after the film weathered production delays, creative overhauls and cast shakeups. Back in March, Gooding addressed the hiccups. “If it could make money, I guarantee, they’re making it,” he said. “It’s all about keeping up with what feels like is the best movie for the fans. ‘Scream’ doesn’t exist without the people who enjoy is as much as they do. … If people want it, they will certainly try their best to see it happen.”

“Scream 7” is slated to release in theaters on Feb. 27, 2026. Paramount Pictures will distribute the film, which Spyglass Media is producing.

X-MANHUNT, the next milestone X-Men crossover, arrives in March!
