“We have built more than half of the national footprint of high containment research laboratories in the U.S.,” says Valentine. “These are the facilities where scientists are trying to figure out what the next COVID-19 is. We had a really strong backlog going into the year and, in that market, we are seeing increased demand for laboratories, those facilities that governments and private sector research organizations need. The health space, not just health care, has high demand right now. We’re seeing it for everything from laboratories to proton therapy for cancer treatment.”
