Although Miss Downs had a curiosity of putting pen to paper; thanks to her Mother and encouraging teachers from Binghamton High School, Stacey decided to go with her first dream… DANCE!
The art of dance is expressed through movement and music. After 44 years of dance, 24 years of teaching and an award winning choreographer, Miss Downs decided to put pen to paper once again.
Stacey wanted to share her love of writing and rhyming with children of all ages and allow all to have visions to create in their own minds.
Miss Downs is known in the dance world for saying, “First impressions are the most important thing.” Also, “You’re only as good as your last performance.” Here is Stacey’s first impression as a writer and hopefully her chance at many more performances in writing.
