    About La’Ticia Nicole

    Acknowledgments

First and foremost, I would like to thank God who has always been the head of my life. You have been my protector, guidance, safety, help, inspiration, and all that I needed when in need!

To my grandmother, Inez Gant-Pitts and grandfather, Eddie Stanton – God said to teach a child in a way they should go and they won’t waver. Both of my grandparents taught me the importance of family and keeping everyone together. I love and miss my grandparents very much. I pray I have made them proud. I’m trying.

To my mother, Nora Pitts – You were the first to introduce me to the Lord. I love you for being so strong. Watching you all my life taught me how never to give up on myself. Thank you, Mommy. I love you!

To my daddy, Gregory Stanton – Thank you for quiet strength. No one knows your story or would imagine what the Lord has done in our lives. I love you, Daddy!

To my husband, Antonio Beatty – Thank you for never trying to stop or hinder me from pursuing my purpose. I appreciate that very much.

To my two sons, Antonio Carlisle Beatty II and Aden Cole Beatty – You two are my #1 reason for going so hard. You’re my reason for staying sane when Mommy want to fall to pieces at times. I look at your faces and pull myself together, and I keep pressing on. Mommy loves you!

To my family that keep pushing and believing in me: Uncle Jeffery Stanton, Aunt Lisa Stanton, Uncle Walter Pitts, Uncle Ronald Pitts, Uncle Jesse Pitts, and the late Uncle Johnny Pitts.

To Pastor Rose Thomas and my church family at Unfailing Love Christian Church – Thank you for believing in the God in me.

Thank you to all of my friends who always support my endeavors and push me into victory, no matter what. It’s so many of you. I’m scared of missing names, so I will name the cities you live in: Detroit, Winston Salem, Charlotte, Durham, Dallas, and Atlanta.

I must send a special thank you to Tamica Jones, Shelley Moses, Vernice Gatland, Cher Taylor, Michele Simington Leverett, Amy Brooks, Bridget Rogers, Keya Jemmeh, Jeannie Martin, Ti Coger, Teresa Harris, Trina Holiness, Chandra Alston Southern, and Lakela Gillis.

Thank you to all the Professional Divas: Anissa Barbee, Tiffany Russel, Jennifer Pettiford, Kim Sessoms, Tiesha Powell, Lakenya Gibbs, Sharlease Collier, Denielle Vargave, Marice Beatty, and Shaundria and Torrence Williams.

Thank you to all of my friends and family, past radio show guests, listeners and social media followers. Without you, the vision wouldn’t be able to go forth. Thank you for your love and support.

Special thanks to all of my trials and tribulations that birthed #SpeakLife. You didn’t kill me. You made me stronger.

    Introduction

A couples years ago, I decided to write a book about my life. I was at home alone with so much going through my mind that pain started to come over my body and cause my heart to hurt.
