About this ebook
Ginger the fox can't wait to see Sylvester the Wild Cat, who puts on daring shows across the forest. Neither can her badger siblings, Grub, Bristle, and Berry. But when Ginger tries some fancy tricks herself, Sylvester says hurtful things. He even teases her about living with badgers.
The Wild Cat's mean words make Ginger wonder if she's a true fox. She sets out to find other animals like her. But she's about to learn that there's nothing better than being who you are . . .

Reviews for The Wild Cat

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This is the first book I have read in the graphic novel series and I liked it. I tried to read it with my 5 year old grandson, but he had trouble following the text with the pictures and kept asking where I was. It will be better with children who are beginning to read independently (age 7 to 9). The story is cute and has a good message. When Ginger, the fox, is told by The Wild Cat that her father would be ashamed of her, she begins to worry and leaves her territory to find more foxes. Of course, she realizes that her parents are proud of her no matter what and that it is important to be herself. The way the story is laid out is wonderful and the illustrations are beautiful, vibrant and the animals are cute. A good addition to a class or school library. The publisher, Lerner Publishing Group - Graphic Universe, generously provided me with a copy of this book to read. The opinions shared are my own.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5I think this is the most Depressing Mr Badger and Mrs. Fox book in the series. A great entertainer is coming for a show. But the entertainer makes fun of little fox. So little fox runs away and questions who she is. Does her dad love her? Is she really a fox? The little badgers try to exact revenge on the Wild Cat, but that goes awry. The story has a good message, but its not the fun romp that can be found in the rest of the series.
