Letters to the Muse Ii: The Return of Love
()
About this ebook
Poet Ajit Sripad Rao Nalkur has been writing since age eleven and was initially inspired by the poor of the city in which he was raised. Throughout his many travels, he came to love the country folk he met. This empathy for the underprivileged, along with the innocence found in farming communities, defined his uncomplicated approach to writing poetry.
In this poetry collection, his seventhand second of a possible trilogyNalkur continues to narrate the story of his love affair with the Muse, focusing on her and the effect she has on his world. Letters to the Muse II: The Return of Love flows on from the previous collection of the same title and is arranged chronologically to preserve continuity of the underlying story.
His subjects are the poor and simple folk of the city and countryside. His love for humanity inspires the simplistic approach he chases throughout his life in writing. This is a peaceful collection that delves into the mysterious realms of love between dream and reality, seeking to achieve the fusion of the two worlds with poetic force and expression.

Introduction
When reading poetry, this poet recommends doing so with the heart more than the mind. To benefit the most, use the mind as an open channel through which the river of the heart flows, for these poems are of the heart and to read them with a non-interfering mind assures the smoothness of their flow from the soul of the poet to the soul of the reader.
This collection flows on from the previous one of the same title, and is arranged in chronological order to preserve continuity of the underlying story. The sub-title, as with the previous book, speaks for itself. It appears that a third volume is in order. However, the pen has demanded that it rest before doing so. The nature of a third volume is anybody’s guess. And as always, it is up to the Muse to put that pen back in my hand.
Enjoy!

Too bright the sun, too white the foam
Along the shores of home,
Too still the breeze, the dance of trees,
Walking on my own.
Too quiet the mind seeks to find
A way to understand
Life is just a moment
Stretched across the sand.
Footprints are the traces
Of having met the call
Of love, its many faces,
I walk before the All.

Journey across an endless sea,
Run on a beach, wild and free,
Fly in the sky immortally,
Leap into eternity!
Dance in the rain to wash the pain,
Joy in the moment again and again,
Awaken the body, effort is gain,
Silence the mind to bliss regain!
Walk in the woods, sing with the birds,
Laughter is sunshine, Love not a word,
Marvel at beauty, the dawn unfurl,
Rouse the sun-god’s golden curls!
Look not back on the dim and dark,
Stand on the peaks of the soul-lit spark,
Smile as wide as a cosmic heart,
Come whole or apart, make it an
