Finding My Voice

About this ebook
Poetry is a painting with words and rhymes,
Where different strokes create different chimes.
When you hold this book in your hands,
I am grateful as my universe expands.
Through these rhymes and words,
I offer you a peek into my world.
My personal narratives will tell my story,
My philosophy will reflect in my poetry.
There is no wrong or right, good, or bad,
Different viewpoints make us happy or sad.
I’m hoping to awaken your conscience,
Use your own outlooks to interpret the essence.
I hope my perspectives interest you and strike a chord,
Your sincere appreciation and affection are my true reward.

Words are used to express emotions,
Words when used improperly can cause explosions,
Words are the tool of communication,
Words can improve or worsen a situation.
Words can bring you closer or take you far apart,
Words can make you stay or depart,
Words reflect your thoughts and nature,
Words can make or break your stature.
Words can be sweet and sugary Words can be fiery and spicy,
Words are devotion and meditation,
Words can bring inspiration.
Words are the ammunition to survive the battle of life,
Words can heal a wound or cut like a knife.
Words can be truth or lies, Words can be more than meets the eyes.
The balance of words is of utmost importance,
Words are what give any communication, the right essence.

THIS IS ME
I cannot follow,
Nor do I like to lead,
I do not like the company of people who gossip,
But I love to be in the company of books,
I like to be self-reliant and independent,
I do not like to be imposing,
I do not believe in religions,
I do believe in kindness and humanity,
I do not follow trends,
I follow my own instincts,
I do not believe in superstition,
In everything I try to find a reason,
I do not believe in visiting temples,
I believe in faith and keeping it simple.
I do not believe that clothes define your character,
I believe a skirt can be as graceful as a full trouser.
I love wearing sarees but also shorts,
I can cook, clean, and also follow sports.
I can be talkative with people I like,
Or be quiet when thoughts aren't alike,
I say the truth more often rather than take a false stand,
I rely on my capabilities and my talent to
