About this ebook
They are reminded of Greek mythology, wishing for a love like that of Eurydice and Orpheus, wanting to dance with someone to Apollo's music as Artemis watches from the moon. But as they find a love that lasts only a moment, they crash like Icarus out of their daydreams.
With their wings cut, they discover themself anew as a creature of the sea. In the water, they find a love more like themself. Still tentative and fearing another heartbreak, they dare to dance between hope and hesitation so they might just find a harbor, a home, with their lover.

Setting Sail - Nin Reckermann
Setting sail
they say ‘tis like the breath you take
when breaking through the surface
as throat’s reborn and cells awake
and lungs relearn their purpose
but ain’t it more like setting sail
let go of soil and steady
adventures ‘yond horizons hail
and tell the wind you’re ready
Pull me like the tide
oh moon take me with you,
pull me like the tide
treat me like a wave of water
never leave my side
freedom may I find in letting go of all my pow’r
you decide about my doing, every fleeting hour
in your arms I’ll never
