Dhaninallah Mangrove Walkway

The Dhaninallah natural walkway is a 1 Kilometer long wooden boardwalk twisting through the mangrove creeks for a distance of 713 meters and opening up to the very amazing long beach- Dhaninallah Beach. The Dhaninallah beach is famous as a hatchery ground for sea turtles. The turtles are mostly seen in the nesting ground in the season from December to February. This walkway is the longest one of its kind in India. This walkway gives a unique experience to the visitors while taking the walk. One can observe the diverse mangrove eco-system at one place, take a halt at the midway to sit and relax while admiring the natural view from there. A small eco hut on this walkway is named Olive Ridley which is the most frequent turtle species of the Dhaninallah beach.
 

Apart from the nature walk and turtle nesting, the Dhaninallah beach allows the visitor to do swimming and sunbathing. In the beach area, there are eco-friendly sit-outs, changing rooms and washroom facilities on this beach.
 

Dhanninalah is among the best places to visit in Rangat and you learn a lot about various types of mangroves found in the Andaman Islands here. Dhanninalah is the last destination if you are traveling from Rangat to Diglipur. Before Dhanninalah comes Morrice dera Beach and before that Ambkunj Beach and Raman Bageecha. The best part is that except for Raman Bageecha and Yerrata jetty, all other sightseeing places in Rangat lie on the Andaman grand trunk road.

The entry to the Dhaninallah walkway is located at Betapur which is 20 kilometers away from Rangat. It is accessible by means of private transport.
