The Campus Ministry team offers a full range of retreats throughout the academic year. If you would like to be involved in retreat planning or are interested in participating in a retreat, contact Campus Ministry at [email protected] or visit us in the Campus Ministry Office in Keim 102.
There is normally a minimal cost for each retreat which covers transportation, food, lodging and supplies; however, Campus Ministry can help you meet the cost of the retreat if you are unable to do so and would like to participate.
Retreats offer a great opportunity to step back for a brief period of time from the normal rhythm of life to take some time to focus on spiritual and personal growth. They are also great opportunities to form community and build friendships with some amazing people across Gannon's campus.
Start your time at Gannon off on this upperclassmen-led retreat with fellow first-year students. The retreat is offered during the early weeks of the fall semester and is a great opportunity to expand your network of friends at Gannon. First-Year Retreat allows first-year students to get off campus for the weekend and create a great sense of community that often lasts through their entire Gannon experience.
The signature retreat offered by the Gannon Campus Ministry team, Metanoia is similar to TEC or Kairos retreat experiences. Like most of our other retreats, it is a student-led retreat experience. Metanoia is meant to explore faith, to ask big questions, and to take a little time for yourself with a great group of Gannon students from all corners of campus. It is offered once a semester.
A retreat especially designed for busy people offered each year during the spring semester. The Busy Person's Retreat takes the shape of a personal Lenten journey where the retreatants will commit to daily prayer and meet once weekly with their assigned spiritual director to discuss their prayer. A communal opening and closing session are also held for retreatants and retreat directors.
Men's women's retreats are offered on an as needed / as desired basis. They are more flexible and allow us to meet specific needs and interest of specific groups of students at specific times.
Wrap up your stint at Gannon reflecting on your time here and looking ahead to the future. Like the First-Year Retreat, the Senior Retreat is a great way to bookend your Gannon experience.
