Classic Guitars, Amps & Effects For Hire

Hire classic, vintage and iconic guitars - electrics, basses, acoustics - plus legendary effects pedals and amps.

"God's Own" because the guitars, amps and pedals you can hire have been owned or made famous by some of the most iconic guitarists and songwriters of the past 50 years.  Better than "God's Own" because you get to use and play that gear, just by hiring.  This is your way to enjoy a range of iconic guitars, without breaking the bank or tying yourself to a single guitar.

Whatever your reason or need, there's a guitar, amp or pedal for you:

Personal practice

Try-before-you-buy

Band practice

Home and studio recording

Live performance

Film and video shoots

Photo shoots

Film and theatre productions

Themed events and parties

Marriage proposals and weddings

And more . . .

In the end, it's really down to your needs and imagination.  My promise to you is a high quality, end-to-end hire experience, with some of the most iconic guitars and gear in the world.

Hirer Of The Month: Sam Fender

Now this was a long time coming . . . but so worth the wait!  Back in December 2022, a request came in for a week-long hire at British Grove Studios in West London.  Founded by Mark Knopfler, it's a famous studio in its own right, equipped with a lovingly curated range of equipment from state-of-the-art to vintage analogue, and the chosen environment for a long roster of hit albums and soundtracks ever since.  From December 2022 through to May 2023, it was the turn of Sam Fender, for the recording of his third album, released (finally!) as People Watching in February 2025.  A magnificent album, topping the charts on day one, and packed with anthems of life at the edge that will fill hearts and stadiums for years to come.

What started as a trial period for this 2006 Martin D-18VS in December 2022 turned into a four-month residency in 2023, as Sam and the band crafted the songbook that became the album.  In the grand scheme of things, it was just one of many instruments coming together to make that album.  But it played its part well, and now famously.  You can hear it on the final album mix, most notably from the opening chords and on through the uplifting if gritty anthem Something Heavy,  Wonderful!

Big thanks to producer Markus Dravs and in-house engineer at British Grove Studios Tom Coath for arranging the hire. And to Tom, especially, for keeping record of which instruments were used on which tracks.  Yes, there's definitely Something Heavy, but there's also the tease that the D-18VS was used on further, as yet unreleased, songs . . . There's more to come!

2009 Epiphone FT-112 Bard 'Oh, Pretty Woman', Roy Orbison

2009 Epiphone FT-112 Bard,
'Oh, Pretty Woman', Natural,

as made famous by Roy Orbison

That opening and repeated riff, so recognisable, so iconic, so no surprise that Epiphone decided to put out a signature model of the original FT-112 Bard that Roy Orbison played on "Oh, Pretty Woman". Perfect for that song - and any song that demands the chime of a 12-string acoustic!
