What’s the best thing about being a writer?
Nicholas A. McGirr I am surrounded by books and people who appreciate books on an every day basis. Whether I am sitting among a stack of research books or my own printed books, to know that I am creating something is the best reward of being a writer. There's no better answer to this question than that.

Who is your favorite fictional couple, and why?
Nicholas A. McGirr Dracula and Mina. For obvious reasons, I would think. The thought of never-ending love with one true soul has always been intriguing. And the fact that you can turn that into a classic horror story is even more intriguing.

Nicholas A. McGirr I visit haunted locations of course!

Nicholas A. McGirr I am currently working on several titles. Two accompaniments to The Life Tree and a non-fiction title that explores the haunted locations of Myrtle Beach's Grand Strand.
