Hmm this book seems like a great read, but is it a good tween/teen read? I am interested in this book. Is it a good middle school read in other words? Or is it too advanced? Thank you <3

I found the story very interesting as I did with Winter Cottage. You could read first then decide if it's appropriate for your child.(less)

1) Megan can’t wait to research something, but also waits until late in the evening to get on her computer? The book is set in 2018; she has smartphone, why not use it?
2) Claire left tapes explaining old secrets, but didn’t say anything about a basement full of alcohol?
3) If you want to solve a mystery about your family and an elderly woman in poor health who knows the answer is available to speak with you, why wait until almost the last minute to speak with her?
4) What happened with her parents? Her mom tracked her during her pregnancy but they never made an appearance once the baby was born?
5) Did the underground apple cider spoil?
6) Megan's great grandmother was Claire Buchanan, which means Adele, Claire's sister Diane's daughter, would've been a close family member of Megan. Adele was Megan's grandfather Robert Buchanan's first cousin/practically adopted sister. Therefore, Adele and Megan being strangers at the end makes no sense. Do you know your great-great-aunt’s children? Would you consider them a close family member?
