Running from pain and fears, only to discover you have face these things to overcome them. Integration of your past with your present to create wholeness from a fractured existence that does not honor your light and your shadow side and all instances and iterations of one's being across time. The farm and the people living there represented healthy, nurturing relationships, providing the love and support needed to offer strength to do the hard work that Mila needed to do alone to move through her grief and find her true self. These were my takes on this lyrical, haunting read of the ghosts that haunt us, and heal us.(less)
