I will write my reviews after every story so I don't get them mixed up. There are 20 stories so, here we go:
1. Viola Rivard--The Dragon's Appraiser
My first time reading a Viola Rivard story and I enjoyed her dragon god creation Sevrrn.
Madja is thrown as an offering in the dragon's god lair and she doesn't believe for a second that he is real. When she tries to leave with a small part of his treasure Sevrrn decides is time to meet.
Madja gets to know the fact that she is the dragon's new possession and since she knows so much about his treasures she must appraise all of them.
Madja and Sevrrn got to know each other and in the end the fall for the passion that was burning between them. It was fun to see the mighty god fall for a mere human and I loved his logic and arrogance.
A fun, short, sweet story that got me to want to know more about Viola's future dragons.
2. S. E. Smith--Taking on Tory: Magic, New Mexico Book 2
Discover what happens when a reclusive Werewolf finds out he isn't the only one who likes to bite!
Another great story from Susan. I love her stories and this one didn't disappoint. I wish it was longer but hey, was at least was a great.
Lone werewolf Simon after centuries of believing that he is the only supernatural creature meets Tory, a vampire with a blood allergy. Tory's luck was the Simon had just the right type for her.
He claimed her as his mate and in return she tamed him introduced him to the supernatural town of Magic and a life of joy. Great sexaton and fun.
3. Mandy M. Roth--Broken Communications
Immortal Outcasts, Book 1--Part of the Immortal Ops World
I loved the story. Makes me wonder why I waited for so lond to read the Immortal ops. I will get right to it. I need to get more shifters stories and understand the attraction between Casey and his "Princess".
4. Michelle M. Pillow--Determined Prince--Captured by a Dragon-Shifter
I loved the innocence of the Dragon lords. I look forward to the stories of the other brothers.
5. Sidney Bristol--Bound and Tamed, Bayou Bound #4
I am not a fan of BDSM even though from time to time I indulge in few stories but I loved this story. Kasper was a sweeet DOM. I am used to read about hard, tough Doms and he surprised me. I cannot say I understand the need to spank or be spanked but good read.
6. V. M. Black--No Gentleman
I was disappointed with the end, a 3* here for me. After years of being alone Jean finally found his one and end was cut short. Same for the transformation and claiming. I guess I have to check the books in the series to get my answer.
7. Shelli Stevens--Falling for the Firefighter
I loved the story. Sweet and sexy fire fighter and a dental hygienist. I will look for more stories from Shelli Stevens.
8.Jessie Donovan--Cougar’s First Christmas
I loved it!
My first contact with Jessie Donovan and I am hooked.
Part of the Taming the Alpha Pack, sweet and short story.
The shifters secret is out. Humans know about them and as usual they hate everything they do not know about. The Shifters are not allowed to interact with humans on a personal level, they usually stay on their territory and are persecuted by hate groups.
Sean and Lauren are dating since 6 months and are in love.
Christmas is a special occasion for both of them to confess their secrets and desires.
After Sean is kidnapped by a hate group, he escapes with the help of Sean's pack mates. Lauren and Sean get their HEA (don't want to give spoilers). It was enough to make me get the other books in the series.
9. N.J. Walters--Coming Home
I loved the story of a burned-out DEA agent who is finally allowing himself to reach for what he wants.
10 Ella Drake--River Arrow
Don't get involved. That grim policy has saved Jared's skin in his post-apoc world. But when Mari faces a drifter gang, he risks losing his boat, his trade route and his life. For me was just there. I didn't get the sudden connection of the couple.
11. Eve Vaughn--Theirs
Childhood friends, 2 brothers and the maid's granddaughter, realize in their teenage time they are in love. After 8 separated both man go for their love and bring her home. Not my favorite story out of them all.
12. Jaycee Clark--Reconnected
Rainbow is chased by her ex boyfriend after she saw him killing a man and her friends drop her on the door step of her former love Lee. After few days together they both realize they never forgot each other and when all the drama is over (ex boyfriend dead) they get their HEA.
13. Lauren Hawkeye--Mistaken Identity
In her job as a decoy sent out to catch cheating men, Hannah thinks she's seen it all. Yet nothing can explain her attraction to Adam... or what she does as a result.
Scarlett Dawn--Valan Playboys
Never human, never bored, Lana Claire meets her magical match in Valan royalty.
Natasha Logan--Under His Spell
Destiny comes with a price.
Jaide Fox--Renegade

My Review:
Because there were so many stories in this antho (which makes it a FABULOUS deal at only $.99 price-tag) I only had the time to read a few of them. Below are my reviews for those that I read....
Title: His Velvet Touch by Candice Gilmer
My Rating: A
My Thoughts:
I loved this novella. Harper and Chris have both been burned by relationships before. As a result, they're both a lot more honest and forward than people normally are when they're interested in someone else and I really enjoyed that honesty between them. It made for some great chemistry.
They meet on a day Harper is out with her girlfriends who are razzing her about her lack of game. So she approaches him. He's not interested until she begins talking and despite himself he becomes fascinated.
It's a fun story. I smiled throughout and thoroughly enjoyed this sweet little contemporary romance. And even though it's a novella, it didn't read like one at all. It was a complete story... a complete romance.... completely entertaining.

My Thoughts:
I liked this story. This is the first I've ever read from this author and I liked her world. Tory is a vampire, but unlike any that you've ever read before. She was raised in the town of Magic, where everyone is paranormal, and hasn't really been subjected to the human world although she's 24 years old. When she meets Simon she knows he's a werewolf, but he has no idea that other paranormals even exist because he's never been out of the human world. They both have things to learn.
It was a fun story and I enjoyed Tory a lot. I loved how she kept hitting on Simon's friend/employee and completely ignoring Simon...something that he really doesn't know how to handle. Although she's been protected from the world, she's very self assured and sassy and that made her so much fun to read and a great foil to Simon's gruff alpha personality.

My Thoughts:
The alpha hero in this one has one of those backstories that I find completely intriguing in real life because I know there are guys and girls out there doing this everyday...longterm...and I just don't see how they do it. Tobias has just come off a year and a half deep undercover assignment for the DEA. While he was out of pocket, his beloved grandfather who basically raised him died. He missed it and now he's back home to take care of his grandfather's house and figure out what to do with his life. Immediately, he runs into Kansas....the girl who grew up with him next door and the one he left behind.
This book takes place over less than 24 hours so it was pretty fast and furious. I can understand that to a certain extent because these two have known each other forever. But it still was really fast...LOL. But I do love friends to lovers stories because the hero and heroine know each other so incredibly well and this story definitely had that going for it. I also love that Kansas's brothers are Tobias's best friends. That complicates things too. But overall it was just one fun, sexy little read featuring one super-hot and sexy alpha male. Can we say YUMMY??

This was such a sweet story. I like the set-up of it at first and I love the way that it ends because Lucas is so overcome by this girl. I like it when a guy falls hard and fast...shocking him as much as anyone...and add in that he's a firefighter...oh yeah, this one was fun.
It's also a book that takes a slight twist on a second-chance romance. Kim and Lucas met a couple of months ago and had instant chemistry at a club, but when her ex showed up, things devolved quickly. But when her roommate set fire to their apartment, well then that has to be fate, right?
Like I said...super-cute and fun! I liked it.

Wow...I really, really liked this story. And on the surface it doesn't sound like one that would be good. A couple on the verge of a divorce/separation...but as the story unfolded, I fell in love with these characters. It's so easy to see how they got to this point...and that's so sad, because most of what happened to them was out of their control. Sometimes it's so hard for love to be stronger than the blows that life deals.
But it's a beautiful story that left me wanting to go snuggle up with my hubby. It's a great reminder to not take your partner for granted because things can change so quickly. Remember why you fell in love. It's a powerful story and emotional and I LOVED it!!!

Since I'm currently reading this box set I will be reviewing the stories as I read them. So the reviews will not be in order.
The Dragon's Appraiser is a short story about a young woman who is used as a sacrifice to the dragon who protects her country. While trying to escape she comes across an ancient crown and puts it on while shifting through mounds of treasure. Soon she is ready to flee and as she does the dragon catches her. Soon she is appraising all his treasures and they soon become friends then lovers. This a short story that is sweet and sexy but has no real conflict...
Broken Communication by Mandy Roth... This is the first book in a spinoff series and tells the story of Casey, a wolf shifter, that was a government experiment 100 years ago and Harmony, a Fae, who is his mate and the best friend of the heroine in the book Act of Surrender and takes place right after this story. You really don't have to read prior books to understand this story, but they do give some background on the story. Harmony is missing and Casey is determined to find her because not only she is his mate but he has loved her for the last four years. Harmony is being held in a cage so that she could be sold as a sex slave. As Casey is trying to find her we meet another shifter who is a old friend of Casey's and he wants to help her escape. This is a short novella but has a HEA!

Valan Playboys by Scarlett Dawn
What more could a girl want then a hot warlock and a sexy demon? I loved this storyline. Lana is barely legal in the human world. No worries, she's not human. She's a Valkyrie, a very strong one. She drinks, wears tons of makeup, and "is in your face". I love her attitude. She doesn't take anyone's crap and speaks her mind. She's thrust into this world of the paranormal and catches the eye of two kings.
King Jerome and King Balar. They are both arrogant, ladies men. At first they seem to be interested in Lana for curiosity's sake. I loved how they ended up doing even the simple things together as a group of three, even watching chick flicks. They end up hot and heavy in Lana's bed, all three of them. This scene was steamy and had me chuckling at the same time.
My favorite part of the new world Scarlett created, that only males can sense their mates. I loved that the males kept testing Lana to see if she was their mate. I loved that the males were so eager to find their mates. -sigh- They were all so dreamy. I'd love to read more stories about the characters in this world.
Another great book by Scarlett Dawn. Writing this review put a big smile on my face and has me wanting to read more of the books in this anthology. I'll probably be adding to this review in the near future. I can't wait.

I need to sit down and read all of these. There are so many authors I love in here and more that I want to read and try. For this review I read Valan Playboys by Scarlett Dawn.
Scarlett Dawn is one of my must read people on my favorite author list. I jump on every book she puts out and love the worlds she takes us into. Valan Playboys was no exception.
I loved all the characters in this book especially King Jerome and King Balar who both give Lana a run for her money. Lana is a wild child who until now has never been around other people who have powers similar to hers, she doesn’t even know what she is. She likes to drink hard and enjoy her solitude.
There is some serious hot stuff going on in here. I think my eyes got bigger and bigger the more I got into one particular scene. As George Takei would say oh my! :)
I did not expect this to go where it did with the two kings and now I want more. I mean, it ended. She didn’t leave us hanging. She left us craving more of this group of supernatural peeps. I want a whole new series built around them. Chop chop. Just kidding. (Not really.)
Loved it and cannot wait to get into the other stories as well.

WOWZA! This is an exceptional collection of stories by twenty of today's most talented authors. I read every single one and each story is smart, well written, compelling, entertaining, and romantic and each contains a very handsome, very hot alpha male who is always swoon worthy and is always ready, willing and more than able to rescue and claim his beautiful woman. Oh my! And ladies, we do love to be loved, possessed, taken and rescued! The set includes some of my favorite authors, like V.M. Black(No Gentleman), Jessie Donovan(Cougar's First Christmas), and Viola Rivard(The Dragon's Appraiser). And I discovered some new authors as well that I have now added to my favorites. This collection is quite the smorgasbord of romance, action and adventure! This is, hands down, one of the very best collection of stories that I have ever read!

This is part of a compilation, that I hope to read shortly. I was given a copy of The Dragon's Apprentice by Viola Rivard. To say the least, she rocks! The story, that I hope she will continue is about a dragon given a "sacrifice" and she happens to be an appraiser. The dragon has a funny, sense of humor in a very blunt, honest kinda way, he sorta grows on you. While the appraiser isn't sure what to do with his genuine honesty at first, she adjusts and sates his curiosity :) You won't be sorry no matter what story you read in this compilation. All the authors are awesome! There is chemistry between them, but they are still learning their way around each other, and the dragon for as old as he is, I think he is going to enjoy life all over again! Totally killed it!

I was given an ARC of The Dragon's Appraiser by Viola Rivard for an honest review. Honestly, there is a reason that Viola is one of my favourite authors! This book takes you to a different world. Madja is given to Sevrrn, the Dragon God, as a sacrificial offering. Unbeknownst to Madja, Sevrrn is a shifter. She helps him explore the history of the treasure he has collected from offerings over the centuries, as the daughter of an appraiser she is perfectly placed to do this. She intrigues Sevrrn and makes him want to learn more about the humans he thinks beneath him. This is a beautiful story and had the potential to be a series in its own right. Once more a great story from Viola. Now I want to read the rest of this boxed set!!!

3.5* This is a really decent anthology with a wide variety of stories that will please a lot of different tastes. For me, 2 particular stories have left a lasting impression (in a good way) - J.S Hope's Foxheart and Inez Kelley's Hail Mary Honeymoon. Both are intense stories about people who suffered great loss or trying to work through the dark time in their lives. Each story finished not with a HEA, but with a hope, which felt more realistic and satisfying that if they were wrapped up in a pretty but not really believable ending.

Taking on Tory by S.E. Smith is fabulous, definitely stands out among all these great tales. A sequel to A Touch of Frost, but can be read by itself. She has officially written my favorite werewolf ever. My only complaint is that it was over so quickly! (S.E.'s books tend to be much longer-likely not appropriate for an anthology with so many authors). I will admit to being biased, I love everything she has written, without exception.

Usually these $1 anthologies have more stinkers than winners. This one is full of great well written stories. Definitely recommend picking it up.

Had to wait a long time to get a follow on from Touch of Frost. This one is a short but enjoyable read, not as humorous as book one.
Poor Tory, wants to see more of the world and stumbles into alpha werewolf Simon nearly straight away who decides she is his. Tory is also a vampire with a blood allergy.
Poor Simon, he has not had an easy life, changed into a werewolf hundreds of years previously and used and abused for years. He does not know other paranormals exist. Glad that he will now have a family to surround him.
Loved the little scene in the graveyard.
Hope Youssef gets a HEA too, there must be someone in Magic that would suit him.
A fun read that I have reread it numerous times.
MANDY M. ROTH - BROKEN COMMUNICATION - IMMORTAL OUTCASTS 1
Way too short and a new spin off series.
You really, really, cannot enjoy or totally understand this without knowing the immortal ops series.
Too short and really not enough story or romance between Casey and Harmony.
Though both have been in previous books, this is supposed to be their story and it is lacking.
Casey acknowledges Harmony is his mate after she has been taken.
Loved having Gus and Bill participate and the ending was fun.
I can understand wanting a soak in a bath after being held prisoner for a week, but surely a shower to get the worst of the grunge off would be better. I cringe at the thought of sitting in the dirt of that bath water.
Read this book years ago and rereading in the I-Ops Universe reading order.

The Dragon’s Appraiser
The Dragon's Apprasier part 1 is a story about a young girl who's fantasies as a young girl and plans as a young woman get upended when she becomes the next sacrifice to the dragon by the village she lives in.
Madja always wanted to storm the lair as a child but never did and now she knows there is no dragon, intent to escape and make her own life, she doesn't expect to run into the actual dragon.
It seriously is a good read and I have to have part 2. The sex is hot, the relationship between the two is fun. I just really enjoyed reading this.
Taking on Tory
Taking On Tory was fun to read. Tory is a vampire with a blood disorder and an overbearing family. Simon is a werewolf who believes he is all on his own. When he first sees her he knows she's his. From Fates to Trolls, to over protective family, to hot sex. I just wish this was longer. I really enjoyed reading it.
Broken communication
Casey is known as defected and broken, but this man is anything but. He knows quite a few things, and right now will stop at nothing to find Harmony. Harmony has been taken and wants nothing more than for Casey to come to her rescue. He knows he has to protect her and claim her as he should have years ago. It was fun to read and wish for more.
Determined Prince
Being taken from Earth was not on Eve's mind for her birthday. Neither was waking up married to Prince Kyran the dragon shifter. Kyran's species needs females to reproduce. Finding Eve was his mission and now he needs to convince her he's everything she'll need. It was a fun story to read and had a bit of sass, snark, bad guys, and good guys. I enjoyed reading it.
Bound and Tamed
Rose and Kasper are both hackers in their own right, and players in the bdsm scene. He needs her help to solve something fishy going on where he works.
He's not the only one with issues. After her last Dom, Rose is closed off and doesn't play anymore. Will these two figure out whats going on first or will they break each other? It was good
No Gentlemen
This short book was fun to read. I’m a huge fan of vampires and the historical romance. Add the two together and you get a vampire not really living and a young woman who just wants to be free of the clutches of society. I really enjoyed this one.
Falling for the Firefighter
Kim and Lucas met months ago, but a chance meeting when her roommate tries to burn down their house brings them back together. Their chemistry was off the charts, but thanks to an angry ex, they didn’t see each other for a few months. Now they are trying it out and things go well. Just wait and see what happens when things get out of hand.
Cougar’s First Christmas
Cougar's first christmas is a fast paced shifter romance that was really good. Sean and Lauren know there are many things against them, but they love each other. Nothing else matters. When going to visit her parents, there is a car accident that puts everything into perspective for both of them.
Coming Home
Coming home is a good story. Kansas has been in love with Tobias for years. Now he’s home and she will stop at nothing to have him. Tobias loves Kansas too, but when things go south can they keep it together?
River Arrow
Cougar's first christmas is a fast paced shifter romance that was really good. Sean and Lauren know there are many things against them, but they love each other. Nothing else matters. When going to visit her parents, there is a car accident that puts everything into perspective for both of them.

Alex ran away when she was pushed now Years later the two men she was running from have found her and are coming for her. From a small town, the unknown is always frowned upon. Loving two men, and brothers at that, pushed Alex to be an outsider. Cash and Rusty have loved her forever nothing will stop them from having her. Reconnected
Rai and Bear have a history. Years ago an omission tore them apart. Now years later she has been dropped on his door step and things get a little hot ;) Taming this alpha is fun to read and I really enjoyed it.
Mistaken Identity
When working for a website that finds cheaters, She doesn’t’ expect to be attracted to the man she is supposed to be proving is a cheater. When she runs into him again, she realizes she made a mistake and she is not going after Josh but his brother Adam. It was good and short.

Lana has recently learned she is not human and to go along with it she is now a guard for the queen of her faction. When she meets the other kings and queens she doesn't expect to fall for Vance and Adam n or capture their attention. It was just a really good read!!!!

This had potential but there was no character development no story just bam done.

The world has been destroyed and people are doing what they need to to survive. Renegades are those who have been infected with nanos who are stronger than humans. People are afraid, but they always fear the unknown. When Connor comes to Dahlia’s settlement, she knows she must protect him. And from there they go on the run. It was an interesting story.
Once Upon a Full Moon
Once upon a full moon to me was a little cheesy. Freya accepted everything way to easy. Everything seemed just too perfect.
Performance Criteria
After the loss of one of her closest friends, Aeron spends years building a droid to replace his destroyed body. What she doesn’t expect is that he is so much more than the droid she thought. He actually is aware of everything and is still alive. I thought this was a very good book and wanted more.
His Velvet Touch
An Insta love story this is not. Chris and harpers story is bumpy and all about those little steps into falling for each other. After all it was started on a dare ;) I liked it and enjoyed reading it.
Foxheart
This is one of those sad yet heartwarming leave you wanting more stories. Michael lost his family and has closed himself off. Grace is a fox shifter who knows she can make him feel whole again. Their time together is short and the story even shorter ;) But the ending leave you feeling very happy and content with the story.
Hail Mary Honeymoon
Hail Mary honeymoon is the second chance for a couple who has let their feeling for each other fall aside as they dealt with life. This honeymoon is their last chance to make things right. To fight for each other and just be there. I enjoyed it.
One Night of Passion
Skyler and Bishop are soul mates. Dreams and years and reincarnations have kept them aware fo each other and he only has one night to convince her that she is his soul mate.
Legendary choice
I couldn’t get into this story at all and found myself skipping a lot.
The Bet
Wanting Lexie for years, He takes on a bet to seduce the bosses daughter. Although she had gone away and come back, he’s not sure she can handle his kink. I enjoyed this story and understood why I enjoyed it so much when I discovered it’s a pen name for Mandy Roth. Love her writing.
Rite of Passion
Shana is so close to getting out of her turn at motherhood. She has fought and succeeded 19 times. With her last man she wont have to be forced to be a mother. James has been captured by the amazons. He doesn’t want to be the sperm donor and will do what he has to to escape. It is a cute story and I really enjoyed it.

His Velvet Touch
An Insta love story this is not. Chris and harpers story is bumpy and all about those little steps into falling for each other. After all it was started on a dare ;) I liked it and enjoyed reading it.
Foxheart
This is one of those sad yet heartwarming leave you wanting more stories. Michael lost his family and has closed himself off. Grace is a fox shifter who knows she can make him feel whole again. Their time together is short and the story even shorter ;) But the ending leave you feeling very happy and content with the story.
Hail Mary Honeymoon
Hail Mary honeymoon is the second chance for a couple who has let their feeling for each other fall aside as they dealt with life. This honeymoon is their last chance to make things right. To fight for each other and just be there. I enjoyed it.
One Night of Passion
Skyler and Bishop are soul mates. Dreams and years and reincarnations have kept them aware fo each other and he only has one night to convince her that she is his soul mate.
Legendary choice
I couldn’t get into this story at all and found myself skipping a lot.
The Bet
Wanting Lexie for years, He takes on a bet to seduce the bosses daughter. Although she had gone away and come back, he’s not sure she can handle his kink. I enjoyed this story and understood why I enjoyed it so much when I discovered it’s a pen name for Mandy Roth. Love her writing.
Rite of Passion
Shana is so close to getting out of her turn at motherhood. She has fought and succeeded 19 times. With her last man she wont have to be forced to be a mother. James has been captured by the amazons. He doesn’t want to be the sperm donor and will do what he has to to escape. It is a cute story and I really enjoyed it.

ok this story is really like a per story to the other dragon shifter stories that Miss pillow wrote Eve is the first earth bride, a group of dragons shifter princes come to Earth to find a bride for one of them but the information they have on the planet and the timeline is missed up, love the interaction between the princes and Eve and her dragon Prince. I love this funny ways missunderstandings take place and how the each interact with them funny and totally hot I can't wait to read more

part of the immortal ops world it's about a lone wolf named Casey black even before he admit to himself that she is his mate she's stolen right out from under his nose and befor he can go and get her back he has more friends than he knows what to do with I can't tell you anymore than that because its spoil the rest of the story for you. I'm just going to have to read for yourself the great story lol

Madja was kidnapped and given as tribute to the dragon. Freeing her self she had two choices .1 she could run away and xscape on ship or 2 there really wasn't a dragon so why not sneak into the cave and get some of that lovely gold for her self but you know what they say that curiosity and the cat don't you this is a very well written story and I love the way you you meet the two characters
The development in the relationship is well written the progression is great and treasure doesn't alway sparkle

A Cascade Shifters Novella perfect way to start off my Christmas reading. Funny, teasing and hot. All my favorite thing in a romance book add to that a shifter and you just made my night. It had the right anount of hotness and action to make a great story I would recommend it.

Definitely not good for my wallet, but the stories were great reads! You have every alpha male under the sun, military, werwolves, vampires, cowboys, you name it, it’s in this set! I suggest you spend the money, and start reading! Enjoy

PERFECT!!!! 5 stars
Terrific story!! Prince Kyran is looking for a wife and since there aren’t any left on his planet he comes to Earth to find a Human woman to wed. I found it so funny to look at us “Earthlings” in a different way, how we must look to others - aliens, so to speak - but obviously a male of any “species” is still the same – with the Me Tarzan You Jane You Mine routine and seriously – finding your true mate in a BAR?!?! Really??? Whatever works for you! LOL Love the confusion between them – the language, customs and the fact that what the Draigs know of Earth and us Humans and how they learnt about us, well you have to read this book for this point alone! The humor is so well, hilarious and original! I promise that the other parts to the book are so perfect as well! There is a much earned romance and conflict and mistakes and…oh just read the story and you will see! There is so just much awesomeness in this story and I don’t want to spoil any part of it for you!!!! I cannot wait to read the rest of the books in these series now! With each book I read in the Dragon Lord Universe, I fall deeper and deeper into it and want, no NEED to go and read all of them! I am not sure I will ever be ready to leave this world, regardless if it is past, present, future, same people, new – it is all in this FANTASTIC world that Michelle has created. I love that she can take just a small piece of this Dragon Lords Universe and turn it into a terrifically funny, hot & sexy romance that can be read as a stand-alone, but come on! If you are like me, you want to know each & every single Draig and their story and thankfully, Michelle listens to us and there is lots of romance to be had! For those of you who don’t already know, Michelle has that true great talent that she shows with each book she writes!! Whether it be a short story, a novella or a full length novel, you know you are going to be swept away into her books & you will always be entertained and love every single new Hero that she creates! Not every author can successfully write a short(er) story in their existing series, but Michelle not does this flawlessly!

FANTASTIC!!! This is my first foray into Mandy’s Immortal Ops World (Please forgive me!) and I now know what I have been missing so I cannot wait to read ALL of the others!!! But back to this story - How can you not love Casey? He is your classic “broken” hot sexy stubborn and oh so…MALE!!! Harmony was so adorably funny too! I have previously shied away from short/shorter stories because I want as much time as possible with the characters, but I have found the ONE thing that has me craving shorter stories – the Happy Ever After part happens quicker (no duh!) but almost always it is also more INTENSE and HAWT!!!!! And this story is a perfect example of this! Casey has his own reasons for not getting close to Harmony, but he doesn’t realize what her reasons are for the same thing! When she goes missing, Casey realizes just how wrong he was to deny himself, while Harmony comes to the same realization! In true Mandy fashion, she can give you a peek into her character(s) and have you fall in love with them so quickly! I also love how we just jump right into a story & situation and BAM!! Mandy has that special talent that lets you in on the situation, gets you up to speed, then with thoughts and flashbacks, dreams and with the characters special abilities, you get snippets that clue you in on the whys and whats and other information to explain it all, but Mandy does it so seamlessly and with perfect timing and working that you feel instantly what the characters are going through, what & who made them this way. As Usual with Mandy’s writing short stories are perfectly written to feel like long stories, but in the best way! My only regret is that like all good things, the end arrives before I am ready to let my new friends go!

Broken Communication is Casey and Harmony's story. Casey has been hiding for years, like the other outcasts in his position. But witth Harmony vanished, he's about to do whatever it takes to find her and get her back.
Harmony, is no wilting flower, she's full of sass, and does a lot toward taking care of herself. But this is one situation, she needs some back up for.
Casey and Harmony's story has a touch of everything important, a dash of suspense, a sprinkle of humor, A kick but Alpha male, and a stubborn but witty female.
Broken Communication is a wonderful start to a new spin off series, I can't wait to read more about the rest of the outcasts.

I love this new spin off of the Dragon/Var world. It's a more modern approach and it is quite hilarious. Kyran and the rest of the princes enter Earth looking for a bride (or more) to take back to their planet. Unfortunately for them, they don't really have up to date information on how to fit in with humans and the planet Earth in general which leads to several laugh out loud moments.
When you are not giggling over their lack of earth knowledge, you will be rooting for Kyran and Eve to work things out and become the married couple they should be.
I love how Michelle shows us how things were in the way past and how things have changed in the newer versions of this "universe", the other Dragon/Var series books. It is interesting to see what things have stayed the same, and what has changed.
As always, the characters have ability to suck you into the story and keep you guessing as to what hilarious mishap may come next.

Aeron is a scientist, and when her best friend is injured, she uses her brains and science to piece him back together, however, it doesn't go how she planned. Aeron wasn't counting on her creation having feelings, much less loving her.
Brad has loved Aeron for years and will do nothing to stop at showing her they can have a future and doing everything to give her the future she wants and deserves.
This story was a sweet tale of science fiction meets romance.
Falling for the Firefighter by Shelli Stevens:
Falling for the Firefighter is a story about Kim and Lucas. They meet for the second time, when he responds to a fire in her home. Though he recognizes her almost immediately, she has a vague notion she knows him, but can't remember details.
Both Lucas and Kim have had past issues with relationships, but they are drawn to each other.
Falling for the Firefighter is the tale of chance meetings and second chances. It was a sweet story with a touch of humor.
Reconnected by Jaycee Clark:
Rainy and Lee were together years ago, but split. They are reunited when Rainy needs a safe place to stay after witnessing a crime. Their relationship didn't end on a good note, and Rainy is still upset over it. But to save her life, she stays.
Being in close courters under the circumstances pulls them back together, in every way. Reconnecting them into a new relationship with their new selves, one that will stand up to trials.
Coming Home by N.J. Walters:
Tobias is home after a long stint undercover, but it isn't just a quick visit, He's on extended leave to decide if he's going to return to work as an agent. First night home, and he runs into THE woman from his past, neighbor Kansas.
Coming home is a story that merges friends to lovers, and falling for your best friends little sister into one steamy sweet story.

In this one we meet Sean and Lauran truly and madly in love with each other but with all the odds against them as he is a cougar and she is a human and that love is a no go.
The goverment is against them the laws are against them and even the Human Purity is against them.
Will they be able to over come all the difficutlies?

1 - The Dragon's Appraiser by Viola Rivard ****4 Stars
I loved that Madja had a brain and that Sevrrn wasn't the all knowing god that some of these "alphas" tend to be. I liked that he had vulnerability and we get to see inside his head a little to see what his true feelings are like.
2 - Taking on Tory by S.E Smith ***3 Stars

One of the best anthologies I have read! I'm only half way through but just had to chime in on some of the books I have read thus far:
Broken Communications
Immortal Outcasts is a spinoff from the award winning Immortal Ops/PSI series. This book is the first of the new series.
Casey and Harmony were introduced in the PSI Ops book Act of Surrender. Casey was an Outcast, a science experiment that was considered to have gone wrong. Casey himself considers he is broken and, because of this, he has held himself back from Harmony whom he knows is his mate. How incredibly wrong this consideration is! Casey has a huge heart of gold. He watches over those close to him with a ferocity that is unchallenged. This includes Harmony who has been kidnapped (Act of Surrender).
Casey is the strongest paranormal Alphas I have read in any book/series. He is steadfast in his loyalties and convictions, and is deadly in his search for Harmony. Harmony herself turns out to be stronger and more than anyone, including Casey, thinks. Gus and Wild Bill (Act of Surrender) are incredible supporting characters (Wild Bill will have you busting a gut!) and we are introduced to another Immortal Outcast, a loyal friend of Casey's who I am sure will have an amazing story of his own.
Immortal Outcasts may prove to be the best series that this author has written to date...this book is definitely an indication of that.
Taking on Tory by S.E. Smith
We're back in Magic, New Mexico (love this town!) and the unfolding of Tory's story. Her Godmothers, the Fates, and grandmother have decided it is time for Tory to spread her wings (literally and figuratively) and, with her brother, heads off to Charleston, SC. Here she unwittingly meets Simon, who has already claimed her after a brief glance out a window.
This story will have you laughing, you won't be able to help yourself, because Tory is one of those adorable characters that knowingly stumbles through life. Simon is one of those undoubtedly possessive Alphas who is continuously baffled by the woman he has decided to pursue. I guarantee that any reader will enjoy this second entrance into the wonderful world of Magic, New Mexico!
Determined Prince by Michelle M. Pillow
Yes! We are back in the Dragon Lords world with this fantastic spinoff into the past. Prince Kyran and Eve are the central characters of the story who take you on a whirlwind ride of romance, matching wits and love.
Qurilixen is unexplainably losing its females and it is decided to send its leading Princes into the past to retrieve human females, one of the few species they are biologically able to reproduce with, to wed and mate with. Prince Kyran is chosen to be the first one to bring back a female . Excited, nervous and dressed as a cowboy (!?) he enters the portal and latches onto Eve, a Hard Rock Singer who drunkenly accepts his invitation to wed.
Poor Kyran, it turns out he has bitten off more than he can chew when his wife wakes up and freaks-out on him. But he is a determined dragon who won't accept no. Eve is a feisty woman who shudders at the idea of marriage, and fights her growing attraction to the irrefutable determined Prince.
Fans of the Dragon Lords and The Lords of Var series will love this spinoff and readers new to Qurilixen will want to start at the beginning. Michelle M. Pillow is a memorable author who I would recommend wholeheartedly!

REVIEW OF VALAN PLAYBOYS BY SCARLETT DAWN

Eeep! Another spanking new enchanting world created by the lovely Scarlett Dawn! I have this thing with NA Paranormal Romances. Together with NA Contemporary Romance it is my favorite - but I’ve only came across a handful I genuinely enjoy. The Forever Evermore series is at the very top of that list. So imagine my excitement when I heard SD was participating in a NA Paranormal anthology!
I’m usually not the biggest fan of anthologies, because short stories generally don’t do it for me. Serials are different because the story continues over several volumes. With a short story, that one (oh-so-short) story is usually what you get, and at least for me that is not enough. So after I figured that out I decided to steer clear of anthologies - unless it’s a story from an author I trust. Which is exactly why I’m reviewing this.

I loved the introduction to this story. It reminded me a lot of the world of the Forever Evermore series, and that thrilled me to no end (factions, mates, kings and queens are back!). It was an intriguing world I would very much like to hear more from in the future, even if it’s from different characters. I would like to know more about how everything works, more about the different factions and how they live. But at the same time as I felt like the surface was barely scratched, I was also happy I didn’t receive a history lesson I didn't sign up for. I liked the way we were thrown right into it and learned as we went. But I still think there is lots more to discover and experience, and would love to read more from Valan (yeah, I don't know how to properly use that word in a sentence...).
What we did learn is that in this world there are eight factions. Four for women and four for men. It said "one created to the likeness of the other, even though 'matings' didn't always occur within a like-to-like faction". The female factions were: Vampire, Which, Mermaid and Valkyrie. Male factions: Demon, Warlock, Shifter and Angel. What's cool is that they're not as estranged from each other as the Mys factions are in the Forever Evermore series, where mixing is a huge no-no.
This story focused on Lana, who is Valkyrie, and her two love interests. Yup, we’re talking m-f-m. Fair warning - it gets intense! My favorite part of this story was the endless banter between the two love interests. They were very entertaining! The more steamy scenes didn't hurt either.
The story turned out a lot differently that what my first impression implied (I may have only barely skimmed the blurb). In the first few chapters I got vibes comparable to a mix between the Forever Evermore series and the Dark Elements series (Jennifer L. Armentrout), but it soon turned less innocent and a whole lot raunchier (The Dark Elements is YA).
As SD’s other stories this one sucked me in immediately, and it captivated me all the way to the end. A definite enjoyable read, and I can't say it enough: I would absolutely love to read more from this world. It's way too intriguing for this to be it!

The Determined Prince is the first in a Prequel series to the Dragon Lords (Captured by a Dragon-Shifter). Loving The Dragon Lords I was excited about this spin off and can't wait for the rest of the books to come out.
Before there was Galaxy Brides, in a time when the Var and Draig were friends, a shortage of females finds four hunky alien shifters going through a portal to earth in search of brides.
Dressed up as what they believe is desirable earth clothing, the portal lands the four princes in a rock and roll bar. Somehow , from watching television transmissions from earth, they arrive dressed as somewhat akin to The Village People. The fun and adventure continues on from here. With all the charm, romance, sexy, adventure and excitement I always enjoy in Michelle's books, this book was also a five on the hilarious scale.
Kyran, the Draig Prince is the first male selected to find his mate on this mission. When he eyes this strange female with blue streaks in her hair singing on a stage, he is determined to pursue her. Being that it is her birthday, and having more than a few drinks to celebrate, Eve had no problem getting to know the huge hunky "foreign" man dressed up as a cowboy. She is more than a bit freaked out when she awakens in an alien world with three suns.
The banter between Kyran and Eve, the lack of the princes knowledge of modern earth behavior and figures of speech were very entertaining and funny.
Kyran and Eve are enjoyable as hero and heroine, their chemistry is unmistakable.
I love being able to escape into the phenomenal Draig/Var world that Michelle Pillow has created.
This book can be read as a stand alone, and would make a good start to her awesome, full Dragon Lord Series. Guarantee you'll want to read all the books after reading "Determined Prince".
Broken Communications is the first book in a Spin Off series of Mandy Roth's awesome Immortal OPS. This book was a short but excellent read that has you glued to the book beginning to end.
Casey is a hunky alpha hero who is a bit broken. Genetically altered and trained to be a super soldier he has received a little too much wolf, which results in him becoming a shifter. Rejected and turned away from the scientific society, he is forced to live off the grid. Not only is he on the run from those that have labeled him a failed experiment, he must also try to control his "wolf".
Casey has been give a mate "Harmony ", a sassy, independent, intelligent and strong heroine. Harmony has some secrets, one of them being she is not the mortal people believe her to be.
Although this is a novella it is filled with enough yummy sexy romance, suspense, drama, humor,and great characters to be an awesome read. Hope the next book and comes out soon.
Before there was Galaxy Brides, in a time when the Var and Draig were friends, a shortage of females finds four hunky alien shifters going through a portal to earth in search of brides.
Dressed up as what they believe is desirable earth clothing, the portal lands the four princes in a rock and roll bar. Somehow , from watching television transmissions from earth, they arrive dressed as somewhat akin to The Village People. The fun and adventure continues on from here. With all the charm, romance, sexy, adventure and excitement I always enjoy in Michelle's books, this book was also a five on the hilarious scale.
Kyran, the Draig Prince is the first male selected to find his mate on this mission. When he eyes this strange female with blue streaks in her hair singing on a stage, he is determined to pursue her. Being that it is her birthday, and having more than a few drinks to celebrate, Eve had no problem getting to know the huge hunky "foreign" man dressed up as a cowboy. She is more than a bit freaked out when she awakens in an alien world with three suns.
The banter between Kyran and Eve, the lack of the princes knowledge of modern earth behavior and figures of speech were very entertaining and funny.
Kyran and Eve are enjoyable as hero and heroine, their chemistry is unmistakable.
I love being able to escape into the phenomenal Draig/Var world that Michelle Pillow has created.
This book can be read as a stand alone, and would make a good start to her awesome, full Dragon Lord Series. Guarantee you'll want to read all the books after reading "Determined Prince".
Broken Communications is the first book in a Spin Off series of Mandy Roth's awesome Immortal OPS. This book was a short but excellent read that has you glued to the book beginning to end.
Casey is a hunky alpha hero who is a bit broken. Genetically altered and trained to be a super soldier he has received a little too much wolf, which results in him becoming a shifter. Rejected and turned away from the scientific society, he is forced to live off the grid. Not only is he on the run from those that have labeled him a failed experiment, he must also try to control his "wolf".
Casey has been give a mate "Harmony ", a sassy, independent, intelligent and strong heroine. Harmony has some secrets, one of them being she is not the mortal people believe her to be.

I just want you to know what isn't there to love in this Box Set of Best-Selling Stories, two authors stands out I read
Ms. Viola Rivard and Ms. Jessie Donovan stories , they both have AWESOME stories, I have read all of their books again you won't be disappointed!!

After reading the stories, The Dragon's Appraiser and A Cougar's First Christmas It wasn't hard to pick two of my favorite; you have everything paranormal to choose from and more. I reviewed two of my favorite authors' Viola Rivard and Jessie Donovan.
The Dragon's Appraiser by Viola Rivard

The story starts with Madja removing her shackers and telling herself she doesn't believe there is Dragon in this Lair, so she being exploring and finds all kinds of gold offering, while in lair she starts to appraise the treasure , so lost in surveying her surroundings she lost track of time. So when the Dragon grabs her, she starts to scream as Sevrrn lifts her high in the air. So she starts to talk of her about appraising of his treasure, as she talked Sevrrn shifts to his human body and Madja can't take eyes from him, Sevrrn is tall, gorgeous and arrogant. But he's drawn to Madja. Their story is funny, witty and will make smile with their antics.
This story is AWESOME, it is one of the most greatest, I read this book until I finish. The characters are well developed and the storyline itself is so engaging and more than fulfilled my romantic urge. It's definitely one you want to read more of their story. I'm sure that every reader will want the same.
Cougar's First Christmas by Jessie Donovan
Finally Sean Fisher is finish decorating his apartment. His apartment looks like a Christmas bomb has went off in the apartment. But Lauren Spencer his female whom he wants to be his mate will love the place. Lauren Spencer is afraid because it's illegal for humans and shifters to be together, but when he had emergency visit at her school where she is a dental tech and she asked playfully to see his feline teeth brought them to this place in their lives. They have plans to spend Christmas eve together and then go to meet Lauren family on Christmas, some guys takes off with Sean and Lauren must call Sean's pack for help. This story has lots of drama, steamy hot sex you may want cut the heat off because the sex scenes will give you hot flashes. You will definitely enjoy it, no doubt!!
I'm sure you will want to read the rest of the stories in the Box Set !!
You can't make move you without buying this box set. You won't be disappointed.

I don’t even know where to begin with this superb box set. There are so many great authors involved with this set that I scarcely knew where to even begin. I cannot give enough justice to this book even if I wrote individual reviews for each of the 20 books so I have decided to highlight a few of my favorites.
The Dragon's Appraiser by Viola Rivard
This story is brilliant. It follows the story of a woman who is sacrificed to dragon protecting her country. Her escape isn’t exactly textbook. She stumbles across a very old crown. This crown leads to an interesting twist her in relationship with the lord protector dragon. Who knew that old treasures could uncover something even more precious than gold and jewels?
Who could say no to witty and charming dragon? This story is very fast paced, but it packs a lot of fun into its small page count.
Cougar’s First Christmas by Jessie Donovan
With Christmas just around the corner, I knew I had to make a point of reviewing this story from the compilation. Jessie’s take on the shifter world is like a breath of fresh air. She has her own ideas on how shifters and humans relate and share the world. This story follows cougar shifter Sean and human Lauren (I can’t say that I don’t hate the fact the leading female character and I share the same name lol). Their relationship is strictly illegal, but they want to spend Christmas with her parents. As innocent as that sounds this of course have to go severely wrong. Lauren’s strength flows off the pages and showcases what someone is willing to do for true love. This story isn’t just a hot and steamy romance tale, but also leaves you with curious thoughts about how our world reacts to human prejudice ideas. After finishing this story, I sat back and thoroughly thought about the consequences and actions of the people in our real world and how looking back at Jessie’s story these resonate with me.
Valan Playboys by Scarlett Dawn
This is the first literary piece I have ever read by Scarlett. I am happy to report I loved it. This world is brilliantly complex in its ideas of factions, monarchies, and mates. Valkyrie Lana’s heart is torn in two. Just that premise along turns the romance meter to 11. One of the most engaging things about this story for me was the dialogue between Lana and her manly loves.
This story sucked me immediately and left me wanting more. I think this novella has only scratched the surface of what this series could bring in the future.

Three of the authors I adore are in this book, which for the price and I get 17 other books I could not resist. VM Black, Mandy M.Roth, and Michelle Pillow keep good company in authors. SOOOO many times I buy these book compilations because a favorite author has put their newest book in. I think can't beat the price and get a few more books to boot. I wind up VERY disappointed by the other stories that even at .99 you wish I hadn't paid for. My fave three listed here though choose well in fellow book mates, and so this set of books as well as the last set Kiss of Christmas Magic has been very enjoyable for my reading pleasure.
Viola Rivard was the first book. It was a refreshing dragon shifter tale that was unlike any I have read. A woman ( and some chickens and a cart of junk) are sacrificed to the dragon in the cave who may or may not exist.
S E Smith created a fun campy world with a very wonderful wolf who thought he was all alone in the world until Tory. The spell her father put on her hairbrush so that if a man kissed her he would break out in blisters was worth the read alone!!
MANDY M ROTH ROCKS! Oh I loved Casey in Act of Surrender, but now in the Immortal Outcasts world he is not anything I expected him to be and ever so much better!!! He is going to rescue his woman and the boys are along for the ride too! This series and it's spin offs have been a top seller for ten years for a reason!!
Michelle Pillow. The is the author who can write men I hate and still sorta like by the end of the book in her historicals like Emerald Knight. She also can write a book like this that makes me want to roll on the floor laughing at a set of shifters who walk in a bar dressed like the village people looking for brides and think it is ok to say the are DragQueens. I love her Draig(dragon) and Var(cat)shifters and so will you!
VM Black. If you love shifters she has it and it is good. If you love vampires, you have never experienced a cognate (aka vampire) nor ever wished so hard to be an agnate ( a person capable of accepting the vampire's kiss). This book is part of her Cora's Choice and Bond world, though not about those characters. This is a short story and like kiss of memory I can simply say it is so well written, and characters so real, you feel lost when you finish because you need more, you crave more!
I could go on, but you should be reading the book not my big long review. This set is an awesome escape for yourself or as a gift for someone you know who loves to read! One Click or gift it now! You will be thrilled with your purchase!

I loved that this was a new Excitingly , Unique start to I hope a new Dragon Shifter, Fantasy series for Viola Rivard.
If you like Fantasy filled with Suspenseful Action and Adventure, emotional Heartache , Pulse Accelerating Romance and a Hot , Demanding Dragon Shifter than this is the story for you.
I am more of a werewolf shifter kind of girl, but I liked the story and characters and am looking forward to reading more about Madja and Sevrrn the Dragon.
