Life isn't going to plan. My dreams provide me what I need, an escape from my pain, from the pitiful looks. I hate to admit it, but they also provide excitement, in the form of my perfect man in fatigues—Zander.
But the dreams aren’t mine.
Turns out the future is coming sooner than I expected.
A rebel group stationed in Seattle twenty-six years from now, ask for Cara’s help to save her brother, and her country, from the unethical use of the latest advance in cellular phone technology—the Si Chip. Unsurprisingly, the dirty corporation, set to profit from the tech, is hell bent on stopping Cara from joining the revolution.
The book started well. I liked the notion that I was more than a quarter of the way through before it delved into sci-fi mode. It meant a good build up generating interest. Unfortunately, I found the story less compelling once the sci-fi elements emerged. That was unfortunate as the storyline had an interesting concept. In the end, I’m not really interested in finding out what happens or in the characters.
