The book started well. I liked the notion that I was more than a quarter of the way through before it delved into sci-fi mode. It meant a good build up generating interest. Unfortunately, I found the story less compelling once the sci-fi elements emerged. That was unfortunate as the storyline had an interesting concept. In the end, I’m not really interested in finding out what happens or in the characters.
